No course maps.

This course has too many shots that require you to know the distance to reach the fairway and or hit through the fairway. No holes have this information for you. No ball washers. You do not get what you pay for. The carts need GPS. For over $50 a round, these services should be provided. Not planning on returning to play again.

First Time Player

First time player. Played at 2:30pm to get a price break on GolfNow ($40). Course a good value at that price. Would not play at the normal price. Course was in great shape (never a bad lie). Very challenging off the tee but if you find the fairway course becomes much easier. Two things I liked that all courses should do: 1. Local rule where if you hit in the junk you play like a lateral hazard. 2. There were 10 Course Length options so you can choose the course length you are happy playing (did not have to decide a too long or too short). Course located in a quarry so it had some unique holes. Not a course I would play every day but one I will play once a year. Shot the 2nd best round of my life so I was very happy with my experience.

Great Course

Definitely not the easiest course and I would say that you need to be reasonably component with your game to enjoy the course because there are some pretty big forced carries. The greens aren't the most difficult to putt on but they at well kept and pretty fast.Definately worth the challenge though.

Very nice course - good value

I had never played the Golf Club of Kansas before. I had always heard good comments about it. We were going to play the Blue tees (2nd to back) but the starter recommended we move up a set of tees due to the forced carries on several tees. He was absolutely correct. For an average golfer, there are a couple of forced carries that take a VERY good drive to make the fairway. All in all though, a very fun course to play. A good mix of long and short holes. My only complaint would be that they did not have a beverage cart available on the course the day we played.

This course is better than most

The course was in good shape considering the hot weather recently. Greens were not as fast as other reviews stated, or at least not as fast as the course I'm used to playing. Got a great deal on Golf Now. Arrived early and the golf staff let us tee off before our scheduled time. I would definitely play here again with the deal from Golf Now. Their regular rate is borderline pricey though.

Beautiful Course, Slippery Greens

This course was constructed from an old rock quarry. To me, the signature hole here would be #3. It is a very short hole, but one that requires landing the green or bust. It reminds me of Sawgrass #17 but with a rock wall on one side. The view from the tee box is breathtaking. I could've played that hole 18 times and been happy. There are other picturesque holes on the course as well. They do a good job of blending the rock into the overall backdrops. Several holes have intimidating tee shots over seemingly cavernous valleys. The greens were in great shape, but were the fastest greens I have ever seen. It was almost like putting on concrete. Approaches are best served hitting them short and rolling up onto them. I prefer slow greens, so this challenge added many strokes to my score and took some getting used to. I would definitely say that this is a must try course for golfers of all skill levels. A fun course that I will try again.

Beautiful but unfinished

Would definitely play again! One of the most scenic in the KC area, which ads to its difficulty level. Staff very accommodating with the facilities they have to work with, but very interested in what they will be like once they finally follow through with the clubhouse and facilities they have promoted. Amazing course all around though!

Bring your A driving game

The fairways are wide enough but if you miss them you will probably have problems. The fairways & greens are in fine shape. Except for the fools who don't repair their ball marks on the greens.

Not a PGA member

Beautiful course. I am not on the PGA, so it wasn't very much fun to play. I am a low to mid 80s shooter at most courses in the area, but I'm not a big enough hitter to play here again.

This course is very challenging with some narrow fairways, rolling hills and undulating greens.

It's a tight one

Golf course was in good shape. We were cart path only, and there were places that were very squishy. The greens were fast and the course is very narrow. Good luck finding your ball if it's not in the fairway. The roughs are high.

Treated differently

Pro staff treated us differently because we got a good deal on golf now. He said they make no money on our good deal and it was about to start raining with nobody out there he wouldn't let us start. Early. This was the. First time I ever experienced this and I have played many places using golf now

LTough

Bring your A game and pray it is not windy. Tough track, but fair. Practice facility is sub par and is very dated, their range balls look like they stole them from minor park in 1975. Overall a good experience and will definatley be back.

Scenic views

Challenging but fun course. Beer cart girls had left for the day so I called club house and they ran us out a six pack ASAP. Staff were kids but helpful and not rude because we used Golf Now like I was afraid of. Carts Need GPS.

Nice Scenic Course!

The only negatives I can think of....the rough was pretty patchy and the cart path was rough in a few areas. Other than that, great course!! I didn't find it to be the most challenging but luckily I was hitting the ball fairly well and straight! I would definitely recommend this course if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed. The course is a mile or so West of 435, my GPS had the course to the east but head west my friends!!

Very nice course

This was my first time playing here. The course is very well set up and is challenging especially in the wind. The greens were in good shape and were very quick. The only disappointment was there was no cart girl or water on the course. It was 75 degrees out. There was also no ball washers with any water in them. These are small deals but a course this nice needs to fix this. I will be back again to play.

Enjoyed the the set up of the course.

Great course to play. Would do it again when there wasn't cart path only. another problem that there was, there wasn't any bathrooms after the ninth hole. No concession stand or anything after nine. Next bathroom wasn't until the 15 to 16 tee box.
Wife wasn't to happy about it. Found a port-a potty on one of the construction site's of the new house's being built on hole 14.. Put out a few more bathrooms and also inform the beverage cart girls where the bathroom are. couldn't get a answer as to where one was.
