About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

Nice Scenic Course
Friendly staff, nice but small store and cafe. The course was challenging, well laid out and maintained. The greens were in very good shape and reasonably quick. I would play this course again.

Day off
All golfing was great, I really don't like to be forced to play with other people I don't know plus we didn't play the same tee box.also the 4 some in front of us was about 2 hole behind the group in front of the and no Marshall out there to help get things moving. I'm no fast player by any means but had to wait over 5 min a hole before I could hit. Other than that it was a great course. By the way way that round took 5 and a 1/2 hours. I usually play about 3 1/2 hrs.. I still would play again and hope for a better turn out.

very nice course
great course, never saw cart girl, load up on your own provisions
Just Ok
The pace of play was dismal The first 9 took 2:45 minutes. Back was a little better. Liked the course but probably won't play again. Real shame.
Do They Use Tee Times??
Had a tee time but on what looked like a slow day, not many cars in the parking lot, the play was backed up and excruciatingly slow. Not sure why there were so many at the same time. They may need a a little more time between tee times, actually use tee times rather than just letting people on and for goodness sake explain what ready golf is and promote it.

First timer
I enjoyed playing this course for the first time. Has some interesting and challenging holes. With that said the greens were very bumpy and noticed lots of divots not repaired. I would recommend it and will play again.
Tip top conditions
We play here once or twice a month and it is a great buy for seniors at low40$. The course is always in great shape but folks here are not big on fixing ball marks. The greens are smooth and fast and hold the ball for a good shot. Bunker placement is a real challenge. Playing from the correct tees my ghreesome only waited on the foursome in front of us on two holes . We played on a Wed and we don’t usuall play on the weekends or Fridays. Start to loaded up for home 4:15

Surprise Gem
I have lived in the area for 12 years and just played it the first time. Absolutely worth the drive. Great holes, friendly staff, and quality conditions. Pace of play was the only negative, but we still finished in 4.5 hours. Give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.

Always has been best public course
Its the best public course around the Charlotte area to play.
Greens and fairways are fantastic.
Look forward to the new clubhouse and 9 hole executive course plans in the next 2 years.
