Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Wheel/Grind Course

About
Nestled among the rolling hills surrounding Uxbridge, which is just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Mill Run Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf and also an 18-hole, executive course. The championship holes are divided into three distinct nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Wheel/Grind Course is heavily forested with many elevation changes throughout. The back nine, the Grind, is Mill Run Golf Club's newest layout and it is also the shortest of the three. Although it is shorter in length, towering trees and doglegs incorporated into its layout demand accurate shot-making in order to do well.

Has potential
Course is just never in good shape. No one fixes divots or ball marks on green. Rough has been destroyed by carts. Layout is decent and staff is friendly. If they had Marshall’s managing pace and encouraging players to fix divots/ball marks it could be a much better course. Comparable to $70 courses so a little overpriced.
Greens were too fast given the undulations. Also numerous times the balls rolled off the green and ended up 30 feet off the green. That is fine for pga players but not for average golfers.
Decent
Pretty decent fun course. Fairly narrow and challenging, interesting layout. Would come back.
The bunkers were horrible, no sand and what sand there was, hard not cared for. Pin placements were super hard locations. Fairways were in great shape as were the greens. Overall nice course. Distance between some holes is very far, not great for walking.
Great Round
Good warm up/practice facilities. Course in excellent shape for the end of season. Super friendly staff. Great place to play.
Mill run ..pace
The course itself is very nice they are doing some Renovations the greens need some care especially in the grind. Staff are very friendly I find the pace of play very slow no Marshalls I see on the course
The course was under construction which was distracting, machinery and staff on many holes
Fair time at Mill Run
An ok time at Mill Run but not worth the drive for the value you get. The greens were not in great shape with ant hills, Ball marks , and other imperfections. Similarly to the tee boxes. Very chewed up. The cart paths were also like an off road experience with huge ruts and bumps causing the cart to bounce and toss contents. Lastly the 17th hole was under construction and closed and this was not communicated ahead of time. So we missed out on our full 18 holes.
I don’t think it’s worth and hour drive from toronto when better courses are available closer to the city
Mill Run
Friendly staff, excellent driving range, decent course layout for the day. Greens eere 9/10
