This course is a par 3, you can only drive on 2 of the 18 holes. We got a hot deal for $28 only to learn a cart for two
golfers was $38.31. I don't know how anyone would play full price to play this bush league course. If you are off the green your call is lost. Not very well maintained to say the least.
Hi SeanTSC. Thank you for taking the time to review the course. We take single star feedback very serious at our course. You are welcome to comment further or reach out to our team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Turnberry Golf Club.
Hello I just wanted to reach out and write a quick review of the overall golf experience. Love playing this little gem, 16 par three are challenging. I mixed up the tee blocks rotatiing from blues to blacks in an effort to make it more fun. I play off five and have yet to break the 7 over mark. Leave the ball below the hole for those playing the first time. Lots of fun on the greens if you get above the the hole.
My palying partner is a my son, he is 7. What a great place for him to learn. I let him do lot's of do overs as the greens and chipping is a challenge for him.
Over all I give the course a 85 out of 100 for experince and playability. Great way to sharpen those iroins.
Staff is friendly, the boys in the shop are fine. They have a very nice restuarant and it's kid friendly. Great view of the course and the food is on par with any country club.
We will play this course often as we went around in three hours for 18 holes.
My first round of golf on this course
This is an excellent 18 hole golf course, very well laid and maintained, I loved playing here and would definitely return for another round of golf
Very good return for the money spent
I take my kids here. Great short game practice for me, challenging course for the kids, and not too long since we walk. The conditions are always top notch, very well cared for course. Would be a 5 star if it was a full size course. Would like to see offers catered to parents and juniors, as i see quite a few other parents with their little ones out there, and they do offer camps all summer long.
Overpriced for an executive course....and to top it off, no notice of green aeration..like Plinko
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Turnberry Golf Club another try in the near future.
Challenging Executive Course
Don’t pass this course because of the smaller length, it’s a tough one. All the 16 par-3’s are designed well, and is a challenge to even experienced golfers. This course is about precision, if you don’t hit straight, prepare to lose a bucket of balls in the fescue. The greens and course was very well maintained. Pace was good, it was a relatively quieter day. Only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed till 5 pm, which means we couldn’t get a bite or, drink before or, after the game (which was strange...)
Love the course
Great challenge for your short game... If you're not straight you pay.. Good value for the money I just wish there was another hole or two I could hit driver
Nice walking course, greens and pin placement always a challenge, if you need practice on iron work this is a great course for this, course well maintained, has a range , also nice club house restaurant if you want to do a nine and dine.
Great Course with lots of par 3's
Only two par 4 holes so if you are big on driving then his course isnt for you...tee'ed off with a PW on 9 if the 18 holes. Dont need a cart...walking is perfect for this course.
Ran into a few fivesomes during my round. I feel like the shop staff don’t really have an idea what is happening on the course which can lead to POP issues.
Lack of Trees
This course is challenging but not too difficult. The layout is good. The distance between each hole is a steep hill to climb which is a good workout. The only thing missing is trees. There is no tree on the course which makes it very hot because there's nowhere to hide under while you wait for your turn. I got sun burn even playing in the morning.
Overall, the course is in great condition and it is beautiful.
Short but Mighty
Don’t overlook this course because of the lack of Par 5’s. It’s a good challenge and has helped to sharpen my iron play and short game - areas that will reduce my handicap. It is always a pleasure to play this course.
Their “Youth Served” is a great deal - golf, cart, burger and beer for one set price depending on your age.
A little links!
Played Turnberry for the first and the course was amazing. For a small executive course designed to be challenging, the glove most certainly fit. The course, facility, staff, and restaurant were great! The only issue I had with the spot was the driving range was closed before we teed off. Pretty annoying!
