beautiful Vista
Very nice course with a wonderful vista on every hole. In a housing development, but that does not come into play. The greens run true and the fairways are forgiving. Plenty of challenge with water and sand, but fair. The sand is a little rocky, but not bad. I would definitely play it again.
Course is still rough
I played the course about a month ago and conditions were bad. Played again 10/16 fairways were good greens still needed some work. I wouldn't play the course until the end of November.
greens in poor shape
Greens need to be topdressed to fill in all the holes/missing grass.
Staff issues at Siverstone
The outside staff was horrid. Standing around, couldn't care less, unfriendly, etc... The management is also horrible or they would not tolerate this. Probably won't be back considering all the other options in the Vegas area.
Awesome course Awesome day
Really enjoyed the day...course was in great shape and was challenging..but fun
will be back again
Review of Silverstone
Great value for $$. Greens pretty rough. Staff very friendly and Clubhouse facility looks great.
Golfer
The course was in very poor shape. The greens were sanded and very bumpy and the fairways were not maintain. The rough was not cut. There were two temporary greens. I have played here before and the course was in much better shape. The course shape should have been mentioned to all golfers when booking the tee times. Will I pay here again? Of course but I will ask before booking.
Have seen it better.
They are doind overseeding and the course needs it. Some of the fairways are patchey and you might be hitting off the dirt. Greens are not much better. They also are using tempory greens on two holes. Also there is no water to drink on the course other than from the cart girl. For food, you need to order it at the turn and it takes a wile for them to make it. Be perpaired to miss your slot. Waite until they finish their overseeding to play this course.
Great Layout but overseeding now
As most courses in Vegas overseeding makes it tough to score. Love the course and the price was right. Staff are great. Do yourself a favor and book through GolfNow.
This course greens were all killed, coming back nicely
Good value but way too slow today , 5 plus hour round no fun in the heat.
Still one of my favorites
Through the overseeding process, it is hard to find everything just right and this day was no exception. However, with 27 holes Silverstone has an edge when everyone else has to close for a couple weeks. There were spots on and around some of the greens that were bare or a little rough but the fairways, for the most part were good. I was thankful to be able to play, with most of the regular courses I play closed. Had a great day even if it poured rain on the last 3 holes. Staff was great as always.
Terrible Condition
Greens horrible, Fairways almost as bad, Closed range, no war up putting green due to same condition as actual green, no chipping green open. For experienced golfers, Stay Away!
Ouch!
I called to ask about the conditions of the course before booking and was told that the course is not in bad shape. They said they were having trouble with hole "8" and there was a temporary green on that hole. But I must say hole 8 was as bad as all the other greens on that front side nine. They were all trash. I also called to ask if they overseed and said they don't overseed. So I expected that the course was still in good shape and doesn't need to be overseeded. Wrong again for assuming! The whole course needs to be overseeded not just bear spots. Because most of the course is brown and dead. I must say that this course isn't worth $10 to play it right now. Its just in terrible shape. Shame on Par 4 for being so cheap!
Bad shape
Course was in horrible shape. Even asked before I booked the tee time, but they didn't tell me.
if
If your'e going to keep your course open while overseeding that is fine, I expect the course to be not great. But the scoring areas need to be good or just shut it down for a few weeks. Large pebbles and wood chips on the fringes where you need to chip or land chips is unacceptable. I get the rest of the work being done...but if you take our money, at least leave the fringes and greens playable,
close to vegas
It was an ok course but the greens were like Chicago streets. Maybe during season the total experience of the course and greens is well worth the $$$$.
Beautful course, but.....
Very nice place except the greens were in awful shape.
Pace of play could of been better too.... needed a ranger to light a fire under a few players!!
Don't waste your money
The course (greens in particular) was in terrible condition. Every green was completely surrounded by 2-3 yards of bare dirt and the greens themselves were half covered by bare dirt patches. I was told by an employee that they have fungus that is killing the greens. A conservative estimate is that the greens added 10 shots to my score because they are unplayable. The locker rooms also smelled like a sewer. No water available on course in 100 degree weather.
this course is not well maintained. very dry out must be the time of year.
I played when they were letting the course go. Still should not have been in that condition. Looked as though it has been that way for a bit.
Great course
Course has spotty dead grass and soil around the green on most otherwise would have been near perfect. I like it still!
