Course is closed, sold for land value
Effective, 9-1-15, the course is closed. It was losing hundreds of thousands of dollars per year and the former owner could not sustain the losses any longer. It wasted an incredible amount of water as well. The golf course was sold for land value.
Course permanently closed!!!
Golfnow should not have tee times listed for this course. It permanently closed on Friday Sept 4, 2015...
Played tast
Played as a single and played in 3 hours. Course was in good shape except for a few of the bunkers were very hard as it rained the day before and the sand was hard as the desert.
Very nice
I enjoyed the course very much. Going back Sat. so I can play the 3rd nine. It was nice because even though it's in a development you don't feel like the houses are crowding in on you. Nice course
Nice course. Good variety and challenges.
It's HOT- minimal drinking water available on the course. Place ice water jugs on every third hole. Saw cart girl one time during my round.
Noe Water In The Desert
I enjoyed the round. Greens were in good condition. I played with a member. However, We were shocked that there was no drinking water on the course - this was especially bad as the temperature was 109 in Las Vegas. The two bathroom / with fountains were clean but the water barely triclkled from the fountains. And I was not going to put mt mouth on a public faucet. The cart person only sowed up twice / the first time on our second hole when he did not need any refreshments.
This course has long carries.
Play from the right set of tee boxes for your game. The majority of the holes have long carries; if you don't want to be hitting your second shot from the hardpan move up. Once you're on the fairway though it's pretty easy. There is no water on the course. You have to buy it from the concessions or cart girl.
Mountain and Desert
Course condition over all was in good shape (we played Desert and Mountain) tee box need to cut with lots of weeds on tee boxes. Green condition are good but not consistence speed.
But over all are good recommended!
Fair at best
The golf course is not in top condition, it is dry and the tee boxes and fairways are pretty beat up for some reason. The greens did not hold at all. The beverage cart came around frequently so that was a positive.
Worth the Drive
The course is a distance from town, but well worth the drive. The course was in great shape, but the greens had been punched the previous week, so they were quite slow. This is a challenging course with a variety of holes. Will definitely play here again.
Didn't do anything for me !!!
I don't think I'd tell any of my friends to play this course. ( not worth the money ) Look around you'll be doing yourself a favor.
Very nice course
The course was well kept and the staff always goes above and beyond
Excellent course
The course has a variety of short and some very long holes, which leads to an exciting game every time.
Silverstone
Nice course. Greens a little shaggy in places and extremely hard. Will go back. Great staff.
Could be great
The course could be great (we played all three nines), but there were a few greens keeping issues. There was quite a bit of clover all over the course. The greens had a lot of poa on them which effected some putts. Last some of the tees were a little chewed up. Overall it was in good shape but there were these few issues.
The clubhouse and the staff were first rate and the practice facilities were excellent.
I would recommend it highly, especially if there is a discounted greens fee and when they get the maintenance issues under control.
Challenging holes.
Haven't played there in a few years and noticed that the trees have grown and the surrounding homes have filled in the neighborhood. All of this made the course more beautiful and playable.
Slow Play
Play was slow. starter was neither friendly or helpful. He added a third to our twosome and he was a local with no personality Including change smoke the entire course...
course
This is a very difficult course. I could not reach the fairway on several holes. Length is required on the desert 9 holes. If you are not at least 190 to 200 yards off the tee skip this course.
