Willows Run Golf Club - Heron Links Course
Located in the Sammamish River Valley, Willows Run Golf Club is easily accessible from Bellevue and Seattle. The club has four distinct courses, providing options for players of all skill levels. The courses consist of two championship links courses, a nine-hole par 3, and an 18-hole putting course. The nine-hole, par-3 course is called Heron Links. It has been a local favorite for children and beginners since it opened in 1999. The course was strategically designed within lush meadows and pristine wetland areas, and a great deal of care has been taken to preserve the beauty of these areas. There is water on a few holes and you will come across the occasional bunker. It's a good course for fine-tuning your skills or getting in a quick, fun round

The course is poorly maintained
The grass in the rough and the approaches is so high that it's extremely difficult to find the ball even when you know where it landed. Also the mole holes are out of hand on the course they are everywhere.
New Years 9 hole
Great day was had to start the new year. This is a great PAR 3, 9 hole course to work on your short shots. The price is reasonable and the staff is always friendly.
How to Not Feel Welcome!
Hi all. My son had suggested we do the Heron Links Exec 9 at Willows GC. This would be my first experience there. Although the golfer traffic was light we immediately stacked up on hole one at 11AM due to a grounds keeper cutting on the first green. We were behind another group in the same position. The guy finally got off but then proceeded to the 2nd hole. He finished there in about 5-10 minutes but was then followed by someone taking their time manually watering the green. OGG! Somehow the 1st group scooted by only to leave us waiting at every hole for the cutting of the green . By hole four three groups including the original group in front of us and another guy who appeared from who knows where were sitting at the T-Box waiting for the cutting to be completed on that green. I then called into the clubhouse and the manager lady came out to discuss it with the greens keeper. He obviously could have cared less if he was holding up 3 or more groups or not and continued to cut the greens in front of groups in front of us. As we were so delayed we like many other groups on the exec course went back to replay holes. There must have been 6-7 groups doing this but because we had complained about the bad etiquette greens keeper we were asked by manager lady to jump ahead several holes & exit the course since "they had a tournament/group starting by shotgun within 20 minutes . We complied but then realized not one other group was asked to do the same thing and they continued to go from whatever hole they wanted due to the delayed play. When we finally exited the course 25 minutes later there was no group or tourney gathering in site and they had let others start on hole 1 and 2. Seemed to be a bit of some fake news going on here! Unbelievable bad etiquette and very poor customer service by the greens keeper and lady manager due to us complaining about the issue we noted that all were complaining about on the course. I for one will never go back to this place.
Good practicing rounding
Very near from my house and it is good for practicing rounding.
It was last minute, the price is what got my attention. The course was really wet/muddy. I lost about three balls due to them being plugged in the ground. This par three course was really slow in play. If you need some practice time, I feel this course would be perfect before going on to a 18 hole course.
Not as advertised
Course information said 18 hole par 72 course. Arrived at course to find out there was multiple courses and our reservation was on the shortest par 3 course I've ever played. I showed the guy at the clubhouse my reservation that said full sized course and he said it was a mistake by golfnow and refused to honor the tee time on the course we booked.
Course was wet from recent rains, but well drained course. Well maintained.
No problems with the course. I found out that the "bargain" I supposedly received from GolfNow wasn't. The round of play cost the same as if I made the booking myself. I lost by paying Golf Now the booking fee.
Great Par 3 made better by a Hot Deal!
Heron Links is always a safe bet for a quick 9 on a par-3 even if a bit busy. Course is usually well maintained -- only issue is with goose scat that can get pretty nasty at times. They do a good job of staying ahead of it and on this day, it was very clean. Pace of play is quick unless there is a school group ahead of you. You'll get that a lot in the summer -- especially around mid-day and early afternoon. $11 on weekdays and $14 on weekends is a decent price, but GolfNow will occasionally have deep discounts for a mid-day tee time. I've played for as little as $4 before booking fees. Bottom line is it's a good value at full price and a steal on special not to mention it's a great way to get your short game practice in on a tight schedule
fun par 3
Fun par 3 course. Challenging with water features. Can be a little slow on weekends. Yardage on score card is way off for many holes. Bring your rangefinder if you have one.
Great Par 3 with full size greens
Heron Links 9 hole par 3 course is a great short course to either enjoy with the family, inexperienced golfersm, or just work on your scoring game. Playing in about 1.5 hours, it's perfect for a quick time out. The nearby practice chipping facility and putting green are great for a little more practice if time permits.
There are a couple water holes so bring a few old balls for the beginners...
Wish the app took me to the correct address and the staff could have been more help.
I was in the area an hour early to chip an putt but the app took me to the wrong address. The staff didn't even ask if I had ever been there before. I didn't know where the first tee was and the times weren't seperater well enough and we were in line constantly through the course.
That being said I enjoyed the course and the greens played great!
Very playable for novice and beginners.
par 3 executive course gets alot of play and good condition for the amount of play. Have one concern with the geese problem as the geese is taking over some of the greens and messing them up. It is that time of year when geese flock in mass. The course is very likable.
