The Lamberts Point Golf Course
About
Lambert's Point Golf Club in Norfolk sits along the banks of the Elizabeth River, offering scenic river views from every one of its nine holes. The course is located on Old Dominion University's campus, doubling as the training facility for the school's golf team. The layout has a traditional links-style design that will challenge even low handicappers. It has all the challenges of a full-length golf course with dramatically rolling terrain that causes tricky uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. It's a very tight course, which means that shot placement will be an important factor on every hole. While you may not need a driver, accuracy is a necessity. Even slightly errant shots will be severely penalized. Before tackling Lambert's Point golf course, you can use the impressive double-story, covered driving range for warming up.

Fun little course badly in need of some TLC
I had a great time playing here with my son today the price was great and I'm sure I'll come back here. The greens and bunkers were just awful most of the bunkers are full of weeds and the greens are overgrown. This could be an amazing 9 hole course if it were better maintained.
WORST FOLF EXPERIENCE EVER STAY AWAAY
I cannot express enough my sadness to hapless stumble on this half a course. The mountainous terrain proved arduous even for rhe cart but walking must be an adventure. The fairways were thin and hitting thr ball into the next fairways wasn't difficult. They had a water hazard or should I call it a jungle Hazzard as it was a.small.rover overgrown with brush and trees that you couldn't see to the other side.
Rhee was a persistent smell.of feces and chemicals that. I began to experience from hole one. By hole 4 I realized that the.amell.was a huge and i.mean huge.solid waste ( feces and urine) reclamation facility right behind the course.
With this aside.the fairways were a hard unyielding tyoe.of.grass.and the green were in poor condition.
I have never left a course in.mid ge but at hole 4 I packed.it.up and wentotp.get.my money back.
AVOID THIS COURAE AT.ALL COSTS BUT.DONT.WORRULY RHE SOLID WASTE FACILITY HAS BOUGHT THE.LAND SO IT WONT BE THERE FOR LONG
Hard to navigate
This course was hard to see where you were shoot due to all the inclines. Also, it was hard to navigate as to where to go to follow the fairway accordingly. The carts brakes were not great and it kept rolling being a pain to get it to park.
This course was great,
Very challenging course, however the greens were a bit rough.
Golf Condition
The course was real rough around the edges, no rough period. The greens were not in very good shape or cut. The viewed play hilly was nice, but that was the extent. Almost every shot was blind and hilly. I am from Pennsylvania and play hilly courses. We played late in the evening and the flags were removed on the last two holes. I would not recommend this course.
Fun 9 hole course
It had been a few years since I played here, but I loved the very hilly terrain. It definitely forces you to play shots you feel comfortable with, but it’s definitely worth a play if you get a chance. Wish they’d put some more money into the course. Some of the greens weren’t in the healthiest of shape, but we still a great time.
Awesome
Greens could use some work but staff was great friendly. Would highly recommend.
Landfill Course with Great Views
Only 9 holes, but they are 9 great golf holes. Course is a former landfill that was reclaimed as a golf course. The views of the James River and Ships in the water. The modern greens are large, undulating and receptive.
