The Lamberts Point Golf Course
About
Lambert's Point Golf Club in Norfolk sits along the banks of the Elizabeth River, offering scenic river views from every one of its nine holes. The course is located on Old Dominion University's campus, doubling as the training facility for the school's golf team. The layout has a traditional links-style design that will challenge even low handicappers. It has all the challenges of a full-length golf course with dramatically rolling terrain that causes tricky uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. It's a very tight course, which means that shot placement will be an important factor on every hole. While you may not need a driver, accuracy is a necessity. Even slightly errant shots will be severely penalized. Before tackling Lambert's Point golf course, you can use the impressive double-story, covered driving range for warming up.

Good bang for the buck.
Guy at the desk was very helpful. Greens a bit rough. Will golf there again.
First time playing in Norfolk
This was my first time playing the course in Norfolk right on the water it was peaceful and an easy course
CHALLENGING COURSE AMAZING VIEWS
By far the most difficult course I’ve played. Definitely worth the money. Bring plenty of extra balls and keep your head on a swivel because several holes you have to hit blind.
Aweful
Greens were pathetic. Golf cart ran out of juice after 8 holes.
Challenging course
Course very challenging for me only been golfing 4 months usually shoot low 100’s..fairways narrow and you will need quite a few balls due to hitting on other fairways...very fun course for 12 bucks and I will play again
Wonderful staffs!!
Especially my big thank to the cashier who worked at the counter, 7/12, morning/afternoon.
I mean he waited for me at the last hole green side with my wallet in his hand. Indeed I didn’t know I had lost my wallet until I met him.
What an appreciate moment from this mid 60 white gentleman!
Thanks!!
ODU Golf Course
Love the terrain with the hills and mounds. Also with the addition of wind can make for a fun and challenging round of golf. Come prepared to make good shots! Recommend it for sure. Great price!
Challenging and completely unforgiving
Great place to play. No it’s not the nicest course of all times but you get what you pay for. The course has a very relaxing and laid back vibe to keep players feeling comfortable no matter their player experience or abilities. With that said this is a very narrow and unforgiving course so I do not recommend this to first time golfers. Not that they wouldn’t be welcome it just might be discouraging because of the layout. The slightest hit off the fairway will cause you to loose your ball in water, thick brush, or rolling down hills for an unbelievable distance. The biggest negative to me was the rocks in the sand traps. Because of the short length and only being 9holes this would be a great lunch break course. This is a quickie and a goodie. This place does have times allotted for league play so check on that before reserving tee times.
