Challenging yet fair. Course was in excellent condition. Very crowded so pace of play was slow. 5 1/2 hour round. Some of the holes were too close together. Will definitely play again.
Great place to play
My buddy and played for the first time . It’s in great shape, wide open but challenging. Will come back for sure , great food at 19th hole
As always the conditions were great and they made a few changes that really improved the course.
Pace A Royal Pain
Royal St. Cloud is one of our favorite courses in the Orlando area. Its tee boxes, fairways and greens are always in top shape and this day was no exception.
We’ve played RSC several times and always had a pleasant experience. This one started out that way and ended up a 5 1/2 hour ordeal.
First, due to some type of renovation on the White course everyone was relegated to the Blue/Red circuit and if I had my druthers I’d stay away from Mr. Red - I’ve never had a good round because of the narrow fairways and water boundaries. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very challenging for most golfers, just not my preference.
Second, we were a twosome placed behind a threesome behind another twosome behind another threesome (notice a pattern?). This made for an extremely slow and frustrating round and we and the threesome ahead of us sometimes waited 20 minutes on the tee box or fairway. Oh, and behind us was another threesome who also had to be patient. No one seemed to get upset but the frustration levels were noticeable.
Normally RSC gets 5 stars but this rounds’ pace of play pulled it down. I still recommend this course but you may want to check how busy they are before you schedule the rest of your day.
Had a great day golfing at Royal St Cloud. I’m glad I was able to join a party who knew the course. They were regular players who raves about this course, layout, and amenities. It made for a good time.
As group a group played the blue and red courses - excellent shape, course drains water very fast and course is in excellent shape for long running hits. Greens very good shape - speed of play was great.
Best course around
This is the best course for the money in Florida! I guarantee you will not find a better kept, more interesting, staff friendly, facility for the price anywhere. If I wasn’t moving out of state I would join and only play here. Best public greens in Orange County. Play here!! Trust me
Great course in excellent condition with a very friendly staff
Central Florida Gem
One of my favorite central FL courses. Great layout, great staff and great restaurant! Wide fairways are very forgiving but every stroke gained by hitting the fairway is at risk of being lost when you get on and around the greens. Your short game and putting will be put to the test. A very enjoyable test of your game!
Hot Deal at RSC
This course gets a ton of play and yet is always in great condition. Kudos to the grounds crew
If you're looking for the classic links-style course then Royal St. Cloud is the place to play. I love being able to bump-n-run shots so I was in heaven. The only issue I had was trying to figure out where I was going, sometimes it's just not very clearly marked.
Royal St Cloud
27 holes of golf. I love the Blue/Red combo. Great links golf. Fastest greens in the area. Bunkers need work. Love the redesign of some of the holes.
