Do your job course superintendent!
Are all the mowing machine broken?! The rough was totally unplayable. Shame on you for leaving the grass so high with clovers everywhere. You literally cannot find any balls hit to the rougher area. Unless you look straight down, no way to find your ball! And even if you find it, good luck getting it out. Take your loftest club and chop down on it.
Unplayable course with this poor course management. Do not waste your money here until they fix this crap!
Rough time in the rough
Overall, the course was nice. Most holes were fairly open and very hittable fairways. The main issue I had during play was the inability to play from the rough. If a ball landed outside the fairways, most of the time the ball was lost. Even when everyone in our foursome helped to find a ball, we still came up empty handed. It was pretty frustrating. You hit a decent shot, it lands 5 feet into the rough, still playable and you’d lose your ball. Not very ideal for the first round of the season.
Tough rough
The grass is high in some rough areas to see the balls
This course has thick rough
I like the Lakes Course but you need to hit it straight. The rough is kept thick and high. The ball will normally sit down making it hard to find your ball; a major defense for the course and a major irritant to first time players at the Lakes, and for those who aren’t good ball strikers.
The last 5-6 holes go back from the wide open setup to the more traditional tree lined, parkland style fairways. Enjoy!
Great course
Got off earlier than expected due to people canceling for the rain. We got rained on for 1 hole and played 18 in 3 hours. Course is in great shape, good luck getting the ball out if you miss the fairway though. Greens are a little slow, but they roll true, they were punched a few weeks ago and are close to perfect. Staff is always friendly and helpful. No complaints, I’ll be back!
Golf course is well mantained, on fairways. Greens were still recovering for airification, very bumpy still, if your balls in the rough, you may not find it, ball buries and makes ir hard to find, and the white flowers or weeds in the rough, makes it even more difficult to find your ball. The carts are new and very nice. I will try this course again , hope they make the rough more friendly.
Good value muni
Enjoyable muni course. Overall conditions were very good. Well above most muni standards. Friendly and efficient staff. Very good, but not outstanding, design and routing. Interesting for good players, yet playable for all skill levels. Rates are very good. A good value.
Nice Course but greens still aerated
Nice track but no mention of greens still aerated, so putting was impacted if I had known would have played somewhere else. Need to reduce price because of theose conditions.
Enjoyed playing the Lakes
First time playing this course the lakes thought it was had a excellent layout nice long open fairways only downside the greens could be a little better sometimes the ball would hop with stuff on the ground.
Good value for course
Overall good value. The last time I played here our carts battery was dying and we barely made it back to the clubhouse. Pleasantly surprised to see what look like brand new carts for this season. Course was in pretty good shape considering spring is just starting. Starters do a good job of ensuring tee times go out as scheduled which helps maintain the pace of play. Overall a great experience and would recommend.
Windy day for golf
Other than the windy conditions which made it difficult to play and brought temp down to chilly and the fact that one of the holes has a green that was shorter and was replaced in the fairway, it was not a bad day to play golf at Twin Lakes -Lakes Course. Could have played better pace without the Cart Only.
Nice day for ⛳️
The course was in good shape, greens were very slow. Not surprising at this time of year. My first round of the year, due to injury, and great weather. No complaints other than hole #4 being shortened, with temp green. It's done every year, so it .must be a maintenance issue.
Home course, winter play
I love the Lakes course at Twin Lakes! For winter, and being wet from rain, the course was in great shape! The greens were a little furry and super slow, but it’s winter so I wasn’t expecting the typical shape they are in (which I think is great). Everything else was tip top! Played from the tips and other than a rough putting day, had an awesome round. I will be back before winter is over, and then many more times over the summer!
