Salish Cliffs Golf Club
About
Salish Cliffs Golf Club, part of the Little Creek Casino & Resort, is located 20 minutes from Olympia and is just a little over an hour from Seattle. When the course opened in 2011, it was named "Best New Course" by both Golfweek and GOLF Magazine. The dramatic landscape of the course travels up and down over 600 feet of hillside, providing panoramic views of Kamilche Valley. The golf course is covered in bentgrass turf more frequently found in tropical climate, but that is just one of Salish Cliffs' many unique amenities. Each hole offers a unique challenge. Though the fairways and large greens roll true, accuracy is essential or you'll be severely penalized for missing them. The course finishes on a positive note with an opportunity for a birdie if you favor the left side all the way.

most pampered course around
This place is like a 5star resort for a poor man, if you can stand off season and looking for hotdeals then your gonna dig this course!!!!
A PNW hidden golf treasure.
Definitely worth the 1hr drive from Seattle. Course was well manicured, greens are true. Overall great golf experience.
staff attitude needs improvement
Supposedly, one small bag of range balls per player, if you get any! If you take them without notifying the staff, they accused you of stealing range balls. Unbelievable! Needs work on being "Business friendly", its called business 101.
Beautiful course
Very wet so cart path only makes this a a very tiring course. Misted most of the day but still enjoyed the scenery. Only a few groups out so it felt like we had the course to ourselves. Can't really comment on the conditions since it was so wet. Fairways are in good shape, very green. When the GPS says blind spot be sure and note them. Very challenging.
Awesome course
One of the best courses in WA!! Greens were just punched so pretty bumpy, but expected that. Love the layout...challenging but fair. Always enjoy playing here. Staff is super friendly.
Amazing course
Fairways and greens were in great shape. The course had a lot of elevation changes and some interesting holes. Casino also had great food in the Seafood bar.
First visit
Very nice course, beautiful.
A little hilly.
I heard Casino's seafood is very goog.
But, due to time limit, did not try.
Stunning New Washington State Course
Salish Cliffs has been open for about 2 years but already ranks 2nd on Golf Digests top public courses in Washington State. There is plenty of competition too, new and old.
Golf Digest is right, this course is stunning. The architecture is off the charts, major elevation changes, views of the surrounding forest, plus that feeling that you're the only ones out there.
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are impeccable. Perfectly maintained leading to a stellar golf experience.
We were the first ones out, and as a two-some it still took us some time to get around the course. Every hole was enjoyable though, completely worth the trip.
At roughly $90 per round, you'll pay more than some public courses in the area, but the price is low compared to other top public courses in the state.
salish cliffs golf course
The course is in great shape. Love the course. The putting greens are hard to read mainly because they just recently sanded them. Very challenging, and the strong wind made it that much harder. Overall, I love the course and will play it again. Regular rate is a little bit pricey though! Best to look for deal on hot deal.
Outstanding as usaual
Once again Salish Cliff is in perfect condition! Best manicured course in the state.
in the rough? pay the price.
Course is designed to punish you if you get off the fairway, if you go in first cut of rough it's tough to hack out of, if in the deeper stuff and you're lucky enough to find it,,,,,,just drop it and move on. Great scenery, worth the cost of the round.
beautiful scenery, beat up greens
Beautiful course but the greens were pretty beat up from a busy season.
Fun and demanding layout
This is my 2nd time playing Salish Cliffs and I am convinced it is one of the best courses in western Washington. The holes are visually interesting and require good shot making. The fairways are pretty wide and the greens are receptive to a well struck shot. The course is demanding but fair.
My only complaint is that the course conditions were not equal to the quality of the layout. The greens were pretty good but you often had less than perfect lies in the fairways. I enjoyed a great hot deal rate but would be reluctant to pay the normal green fee.
Staff did not inform us of course conditions
Fairways were sanded ...we were not informed that the fairways were punched...too much watering of greens. Some of the greens were very soft for this time of the year...disappointing course conditions for a beautiful summer...
Great day
booked through golf now and got great rate and played 18 holes in under 4 hours. Staff was aereating some fairways but it did not really affect play that much. Greens were running about 11 and were very true. This course is designed to be very enjoyable if correct tees are played.
kinda nice course
greens in pretty bad shape. lots of ball marks . lots of unfixed ball marks, rough around hole due to shoe spike marks. looks like some one twisting and turning. very rough. plugging fairways, greens in sept.
Disappointed
This is not an inexpensive place to play - $95 greens fee. When we arrived we were told that many of the fairways had been punched and that a lift and place rule was in effect. Punching at this time of the year is unheard of and we were not told of this at the time we made our tee time. This had a dramatic impact on the playability of the course. Plus we had to start on the back 9. When we commented to the staff at the end of the round how disappointed we were in the condition of the course, especially at the price they were unsympathetic. Not sure I will return to Salish Cliffs especially when there are so many other fine courses in the area at a more reasonable fee.
My Favorite Course in Western Washington
The course layout is the best I've ever played anywhere. Every hole looks like a signature hole. Great design. Putts roll true and tee shots have a generous landing area for most holes. The rough is pretty thick and grabs your club so errant shots are penalized. If this course was closer to my home, I would play it all the time. Hope to play it again soon.
Pick the right tee box
worth the drive from Seattle. Course has alot to offer the avid golfer. Wind can make course more difficult from champion tee. Third hole long par 3 over 200 yards bring your A game.
Great experience
Best conditioned course in the state. Very demanding layout without being unfair. Will be back for sure!
