Course in pretty good shape had fun

A large variety of tees lets you play with others and still be competitive. Staff is very accommodating.The greens roll very nice. On the last hole, 5 deer were on the edge of the woods watching as we played.

Staff is not very nice, not good food but it is a nice course.

Tee time was 7:30 am, and we waited on every hole. No way to play through because every hole had someone waiting. Apparently there is no limit on how many green fees are sold for a certain time. Finally just quit after nine holes. Nice course, but not worth waiting on every hole, especially at 7:30 in the morning!

Course has nice greens but the rest of the course is unwatered with weeds in the fairways,very hard to play when the fairways are hard as rocks and the greens are sold and muddy.

Course has a challenging layout but the fairways are not in the best condition. #10 is by far the worst hole. All the rest of the holes are nice. #8 is a neat hole. The staff is trying very hard to get the course into better shape.

Course was challenging, well- maintained and pace of play was great. 18 holes in 3 hours.

Although already a great public course recent improvements have made it even better. Challenging course at a Great value.

The staff don't like golf now they get mad and thow keys at you because your paying a cheaper rate. Very rude ! I don't care because I got a good rate so I just smile and went about my way!

Looking for a challenge that is also fun to play AND an out of the way bargain? This is it. Have played several times over the last few years. Conditions of the course are at times a little rough around the edges, but overall always in decent shape. The greens however are always excellent and the layout is top notch. Some great golf holes, led by No. 14, an innocent enough looking 152 yard par 3 from the middle tee box. But it is anything but innocent. Water front and left, bunkers right and left, and the green is partially hidden and slopes away from the tee box. If you are lucky enough to hit the green, par is definitely NOT a given! The slope of the green
makes it quite a challenge just to make par. A front right pin is nearly impossible to get close to! It is one of the best par 3's you will play in the entire East Texas area, including the greater Houston area! A great layout at a bargain price. Tough to beat. If you are in the Lufkin area, you need to play this course. Once you play your round however, nothing to hang around for. No snack bar or lounge, nothing in the way of a 19th hole hang-out. But go for the golf.

I really like this course as the best course in the area.

Enjoyed the course. Some of the fairways were pretty rough but the greens were in good shape. It is a beautiful setting and we (my wife and I) had a great day.

The greens are in really good shape. The fairways are in decent shape . The course overall worth the money. It is a pretty tough course lost a few balls . It was very hot day they had. Plenty of cold water on hand

I played this course on a Wednesday so the pace of play is fast. They have a nice driving range and two putting greens. The greens are a little slow however they are in good shape. I will play here again. Its a fun course.

The course over all is great. Still needs a little work but from the first time we played here back a few months ago it has come a long way. I love the pines and of course the other trees. I loved seeing the wild life on number 4 Saturday. The staff is very friendly and they are always helpful. Front nine is a bit challenging but also a lot of fun. Back nine somewhat challenging but we had a great time. Lost a lot of golf balls between the 3 of us but hey that is golf. Enjoyed the clean fresh air and family time. We come down from the DFW area Husband works at GP and stays in Lufkin and family lives in the DFW area. We always golf here when we come down.

Great course if it wasn't under repair. I'll wait till next year until it's finished. But overall a good course if u can get a coupon

The staff was extremely friendly, new carts, pace of play very good. The course has recently been redone and given a little more time will be in very good shape. Would play this course again!!
