Needs work
Course needs major work to greens. Rough as can be and sand everywhere. A couple greens had sand running all the way across them a foot or more wide.
Tee boxes werent much better and fairways need some care.
Per policy we werent given a rain check, but the stadd was pretty rude about it when we asked.
Which policy is policy but just for what that course has to offer, they should be a little more friendly and accommodating.
Price wasn't bad so i guess you get what you pay for but pay the extra $10 or so for a better experience elsewhere.
Beautiful views. Challenging course. Terrible greens
I loved the layout of the course. Very hilly. Several elevated tees to large greens. Blind tee shots. All to make the course really challenging. Beautiful vistas. This could be an amazing course! BUT, the conditions are terrible! This is especially so with the greens. There were some areas that made it impossible to putt.
In addition, the clubhouse was virtually empty. No equipment. No clothing. No accessories. The golf carts (every one of them) were all torn. Not a good look at all. I'll not be returning to this course.
Beautiful layout. Terrible conditions
This was my first and, for the near/medium term, my last time I will play this course. I got my first signal of what to expect when I went to pay my green fees. The "pro shop" was virtually empty! No golf ball selection. No shirts. No towels...virtually nothing. Second signal was when I went to get my golf cart. There were several waiting to be taken. EVERY one of them was beat up. EVERY seat was torn and there had been no attempt to even repair them. Once on course, most of the tee boxes (white & gold) were in very rough, rock hard shape. But worst of all were the greens. In my opinion, every single green needs to be dug up and re-sodded. I'm not sure if they froze during last winter or contracted some disease, but they were terrible. Will say this, despite all that, the course layout was GREAT. Beautiful vistas, challenging hole designs. Fun course. This could be a wonderful golf course if it was managed properly.
GC further potential
It was kind of disappointing seeing so many beautiful houses surrounding this place, and for the most the wonderful scenic views the GC present, to find out most of the TBioxes weren’t properly signaled. Other than people showing up and T-off as desired (no marshal on site), and no one to set the tone, this course lacks some maintenance ( t box grass extremely high, bumped greens, and signaling) are clearly noted. Very good course to fine turn your driver, chipping, and pitching. I hope someone out there dive into this property and bring this wonderful place up.
Would not recommend
Course was in fair condition. Carts were in poor condition. Windshields missing on many; seats torn; brakes were a cause for concern on the steep grades. Restrooms on course were boarded up. We got caught in a major rain and thunderstorm after 5 holes. Course became unplayable. Got back to pro shop and was informed that no rain checks would be given unless their manager (Not Present) changed his mind. Called back later and was told they had decided to give rain checks for 9 holes provided they were used within one week. Told them to forget it. Would recommend using your money at some other course.
Pretty course - not well maintained - but inexpensive
One of the most scenic layouts I have ever seen. I have played Ireland, Scotland, etc. If it was in better shape it would be marvelous. At $30 with a cart it was a wonderful day. Tees and greens in poor shape, but it was only $30……
Fun course but needs some TLC
All of the bunkers are overgrown and the tee boxes need some TLC other than that it is a fun course to play
Had a great time on the course today.
We will definitely be back
Absolute Tragedy
Greens, unputtable
Fairways, just slightly shorter rough
Tee boxes, harder than concrete
Nice staff. But this place is goat track, but it’s my goat track
Great course
Beautiful views. Green faiways, greens are average but roll nicely. Tee boxes need some work but overall this is a great course. For the money, you probably won’t find a better course.
Great Course Layout
Course layout was fantastic, lots of scenic holes and very fun to play. Course conditions were not great (bunkers with grass, greens with some areas of sand) but if you don't care too much about that I would highly recommend this course!
unique challenge
some very hilly areas that provide a unique and fun challenge. Only CON is several greens are in bad shape.
Is it still a good value?
Ahh pebble brook, a once great establishment, which had great value, good carts, and facilities that were maintained. Gone are those sentiments, aside from it being cheap. Though it begs the question, if the cost is still the same yet everything else is worse, is it still a good value?
To start, if you book through golf now as a single, they will ask you to pay for a cart unless you want to ride with a random. Every cart, and yes every cart, had a chunk taken out of the driver side seat. Most carts had bald front tires and also the front windshields were missing or broken. Two of the three carts in our foursome had steering that were loose and would pull randomly each direction. With bald tires and questionable steering, those steep hills become the thrill you might not have been looking for. The maintenance crew was still mowing on and around the fairways/ greens at 9:30 with no regard for who was on what hole so you will need to wait for them to clear the area. Tee box markers were also missing or just laying around throughout all 18 leaving you guessing where to start.
Yes, it’s cheap. Yes, the course is in alright shape for a muni course. If you are good to look past the rest, go for it, though I’d argue until the carts are maintained to a reasonable level, you skip this course and go to the many other cheap muni courses in Nashville. Cmon pebble brook, you can do better.
Don’t waste your money
By far the worst condition of a course I’ve ever played. Didn’t even finish my round. Large damaged patches on most greens, chunks missing from carts, grass on the tee box longer than the rough. Burning the money I spent to play here would’ve been a more enjoyable experience
Great Course for the Money
I was told not to go to this course but was extremely please after I did. The course layout is awesome, but they obviously didn't have the money to finish the design. The Tee box and fairway grass is a little long, but the greens were overall good. The carts and paths are in bad shape but good enough. This course is worth 45$ dollars to play all day. I would definingly go back especially if I lived in a 10 mile radius. Tis course is now in better shape than Oak hills in the area and less waiting on the tees.
No rain checks offered. Course not in good shape. Carts have no windshields or bag protectors
Course did not offer rain checks which is unheard of. Golf carts had no windshields on them or bag protectors which is also unheard of. Course was not in good shape. Sand traps were basically ground under repair. Tee boxes and greens were in poor shape. Would not recommend.
