Course is in great shape!
I've played a lot of different courses around Tucson over the last couple of months and this one was in the best shape of any of them. Fairways were great! Greens were soft and rolled really well. And the bunkers actually had something resembling sand in them. Great experience!
This course is in great shape.
The fairways were in great shape. The greens rolled true. Great course for the price!
very nice course
In very good condition Greens are a little slow but in nice shape
Nice condition, fast greens
course in much better condition than past years. Challenging layout with variety. Greens fast and true.
Great course!
Quail is in very nice shape for this time of year. Greens were fast and true; some dryness in fairways to be expected mid-summer. Fun course, nice atmosphere and friendly staff! Had a great day!
We loved the course: nice scenery, well maintained, good level of difficulty
Our new favorite course. We may even move into the area and make it our home course!
A Hidden Jewel
1st time ever playing Quail Creek and the moment I arrived I was treated like a king. The staff and residents were so wonderful it almost made me want to live there. The course's are in great shape. This is a hidden jewel as far as I'm concerned.
This course has three 9's and plays quickly. Ready golf is encouraged.
Played the Quail and Coyote courses. Quail has generally open fairways and very scenic. Greens are in very good shape. Fairways in excellent shape. Fairway traps are well placed and maintained. You will use all of your clubs. Very fair layout. The Coyote course is a little longer and plays tougher. Keeping the ball in the fairway is a must. Greens are more undulating than the other courses and are fast. Recent rains have made some greenside bunkers compacted and tough to get out of. Overall an excellent course with great value. Restaurant is available for after round drinks and eats. Will play again.
Basic Fun
Played the Roadrunner and Quail courses. This is a three nine hole establishment. Fairly straightforward except the seventh hole on the Quail Course. The green is at a 90 degree right turn from the fairway. The courses were well watered and the grass green and soft.
will play again
overal course in good shape super staff .got there eary a was able to tee off after paying.IF YOU WHAT TO PLAY NICE COURSE THIS ONE HARD TO BET FOR THE PRICE RIGHT NOW.
Good design/layout but greens still coming in
I played Quail-Coyote and I enjoyed both 9-hole courses very much. Their design called for accurate second shots but fairways were wide, giving a lot of wiggle room off the tee. It seemed as though both courses had their greens aerated a week or so ago because punches were still well visible and the grass was beginning to fill back in. However, the greens were still somewhat soft and would still received long approach shots. They rolled true, even with the aerification holes. Also, I saw three coyotes on Coyote course...how ironic. One was laying in the shade by the green on the 3rd hole and the other two were a mother and pup also relaxing in the shade by the green on the 8th hole. They all let me approach within 20 ft before they seemed to become somewhat uncomfortable. I highly recommend playing here.
Great shape
Great design and layout with bunker positions made it a challenge from tee to green.
weekend fun
Roadrunner greens were under repair. The greens were thatched, so needless to say the greens were a little rough. Quail however was in great shape and a joy to play. Wonderful time. See you out there.
Good shape for desert golf
Course was in good shape for this time of year, but the greens were like concrete, nothing you would hit at them would stick. If you were lucky, you could hit short of the green and roll up. One complaint, there was no beverage cart on the course, when asked of a ranger, he stated maybe in a few weeks.
Great Greens
Fast and true greens . Best in the area.. couple holes dont make sence but diffrent.. Great golf outing..
great layout , greens were rough but had good speed
quail- 9 great greens the roadrunner -were rough because of maintenance, holes and sand Had a great time
Played 5-14-13. Just sanded greens on one 9. Course in very good shape
Good layout and the course was in good shape. One 9 had just punched and sanded the greens so putting was a challenge on a few holes.
Tough little desert gem
Great risk reward course. Just a slight mistake puts you in the desert dropping another ball, but a good tee shot usually leaves a chance for a birdie. Beware of wind conditions on the Quail 8th.
