The Links at Southwind Country Club (previously known as SouthWind Golf Club) is a course that is as scenic as it is challenging. The layout tumbles down across the hillsides of Fairburn, across dramatic elevation changes and through towering, mature pines. Unique rock formations accent the golf course and water hazards come into play on several holes. There are an interesting variety of holes that offer something for every skill level. The challenges of the course come mostly from the constant up-and-down of the rugged terrain. The different slopes of each hole require both accuracy and a good strategy. There are also a number of bunkers to contend with, their placement strategically determined by the elevations changes. One of The Links at Southwind Country Club's most difficult holes is the par-5 10th, which has not one but two large water hazards running along the right side.

Great layout.
The fairways and greens need work but I'll definitely play again. I love the layout and view on everyh old. Great value.
Rainy Day Golf
Course was in good condition considering all the rain we received in the last 4 days. The layout is very challenging, especially from the tips. Some very pretty holes with elevation changes.
Six hour round
No marshal on course to control pace. Very slow groups playing
The greens looked like no one playing knew what a divot tool was and people danced in their spikes
I would be interested in this course if conditions were different but it is what it is
Course condition
The fairways, greens and sandtraps was poor on front nine, back nine was being work on. Played better
The course
The course is under new management and I have played it when it was in better condition. The green was kind of slow and beat up. Fairways was in bad shape, couldn't play out of the Sands traps on the front nine because they haven't been rake, on the back nine traps was being work on. Overall play was ok for the weekend price
Southwind
Great layout with multiple elevated tees (6)! Overall conditions of the course are not five-star worthy, but improvements are definitely evident. And it is a great value for the price. A very fun course to play.
Short Makers Gem
Great course for the value. Short course but very challenging with some tight fairways. Beware of very slow greens.
New Ownership Working
The course is beginning to come back. New ownership and his guys are working. Had the course to ourselves and really enjoyed the round. Greens are nice, just a little slower than normal. Fairways are still hard, a lot of run out on your tee shots. Management is beginning to work on the fairways.
The course is in good shape
I've been here before I was impressed with the greens (great) / the fairways need a little help.... All in all its worth playing

Great value. Great design. Fairways need work but rest of course is good to go. Greens and tee boxes are excellent. New ownership doing a great job.
Needs some help
Greens were in good shape, a few bad spots on the back 9 but ok overall. The fairways are terrible. Cry dry and hard, there were a lot of bare spots throughout the course. Overall it is scenic and has a good layout but I do not recommend this course, there are a lot of better courses for the money in the area. With all that being said, it has potential to be a good place with some love and money put into the place.

Great Greens and Tee Boxes!
The new management has really done a great job on the course. The tee boxes and greens were in fantastic shape, zero burn marks on any of the greens. The staff was very friendly, and the course was challenging. The one negative about the course is the fairways. They were hard and patchy in some locations. If they treated the fairways like the greens and tee boxes, it would be one of the hidden gems in Atlanta. For the price I highly recommend it.

Fairways are like hard dirt but the course layout is good. Greens are in good condition.
A Hidden Gem for ANY Golfer
I have played this course once before and it was worth the one hour drive to play it again. It has a wonderful variety of holes and is challenging to all levels of players. The course is well maintained (granted they were working on some touch-ups while I was there) and the staff was more than friendly. The whole area is clean and professional with all the practice facilities that you need for a good warm up.
Southwind Golf Course is by far one of the best overall courses that I have played and I would HIGHLY recommend playing there to anyone. It's worth the drive.
Come a long way
Southwind has come a long way since the new owner took over. Great challenging golf course. Greens are good. Overall conditions are good. Fairways need some work, but theyre in progress with them. Great track for the price.

The course is not playable
Greens were like fairways and the fairways were dirt and over grown weeds. Could not get a tee in the ground at the tee boxes.
