A good warm up course
This is a good warm up course. Not too difficult and mostly open so you won’t lose your golf balls. The layout is odd, requiring lots of backtracking and long distances between holes on the back nine. As a result, must cart. Played on a Friday and it was slow - 5 hour round. A bit rough around the edges.
I love the quirky layout! Some long 4’s and playable par3’s. Morning tee time had sand sticking to ball during putts but dried out on second nine. Not a gimme course by any stretch, but mid teens handicappers have an opportunity to score a bit lower, but still need to meet the course challenges. One of my favorite courses!
Cart path only as much casual water from rain Thursday. Greens are in fair condition because of many divots
Warm-up at Silverado
A great course for beginning golfers, not too long with generous fairways. Course was in excellent shape for December1st. A good test of golf for the average player. Very friendly staff and a great little pro shop and restaurant. Good value too. A great course to warm-up before you hit the big links.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Forgiving course with beautiful vistas. Be aware there is no driving range. Great value for the money.
Everything was perfect, but...
I played with three other guys and they were friendly. The course staff was nice, scene was beautiful, and condition as well.
The only thing I was disappointed was that someone told staff that our play is slow. We played only 2.3 hours for front 9 holes, and we finished 16 holes in 4 hours!! How can we play faster than this? Marshal came and someone complained about our slow play. Since then, we lost all happiness and felt disappointment.
Course was in great conditions considering all the rain yesterday. Would return
Great course, staff are top class, whit the latest rain the course is beautiful, be gentle on putting its super fast.
Great staff, always friendly and accommodating.. great merchandise in the shop!
Had a 10:15 tee time and started promptly. No driving range but a net on the way to the first tee to get the feel of hitting the ball. The course is pretty wide open and forgiving but that did not detract from being fair and a challenge.
Green to tee is very long on some of the holes especially on the back nine. Course is in great shape, greens were in good condition and the views were beautiful.
Friendly course in great shape
Played with my wife and another couple who are good friends of ours. Very nice people at the course. Track was exactly right for couples golf....not too tough...great shape...great views and happy hour afterwards. Play the whites and really enjoy yourself. Going back next week.
Signed on as a single and was working hard to keep up w/ Maury, Tom, and Mike. Very friendly and good golfers!
Surprised at Silverado
Silverado was a pleasant surprise. I had friends visiting and they wanted a course that offered shorter tees. I played the back tees(gold) at 6315 yards. It was a slope of only 116. However, some of the holes contradicted this rating! 5 par 4’s were 400+ yards which included a 441 and 430 yard holes. Two par threes were 210 yards.
The slope and the rating are low because of the smooth, fairly flat greens, large fairways and great conditions of the golf course.
It is a well maintained facility with very friendly people in the Pro Shop and Starter area.
Great track and condition this time of year, greens are rolling perfect....great staff both in the proshop and the grill! will be back for sure
Gary and Donna at Silverado
We very much enjoyed the course. It was in great shape, the greens were excellent. The rough was a bit short so not too challenging. We liked the layout and having three par threes on each side. Good variety of holes. Would definitely play again.
Fun Course in Great Shape
Play this course a couple of times a year and its always in good shape. Greens were rolling great. Staff is friendly and the sliders I had after the round hit the spot. Being in Scottsdale, you can't beat the price.
