Treatment from checking associate
I have played this course many times but feel I was treated unfairly when it came to the price. I made the reservation on Friday April 3rd for 59.95 online for Monday. I checked the price on Saturday and it dropped to 49.95. I asked at checkin time and was told that due to my reservation it would be 59.95. Due to the virus everyone was taking a cart by themself. I brought my 97 year old father along and they still insisted that a cart fee was in order. I had no problem with that with the exception that every other course just said go and have a nice time. This golf course is also listed on the Southwest PGA golf course pass which allows a 20% discount on the rack rate. They tell me that I am getting the best rate. Why list this course on the Southwest PGA pass?
Hope to here back but doubtful.
While in Scottsdale on a family gathering, 4 of us have played Silverado 3 times now. From check in to the end of the round, the staff was spot on making us feel welcomed and assisting us with whatever we needed. The course is in great shape, the fairways are nicely mowed and the greens are fast. With the Covid 19 issues the ball washers and sand trap rakes have been removed. All things considered, we will be back at Silverado at least once before heading back to Washington State.
Great layout and very pretty!
We were the few sweepers and played in 2hrs 15 min. Great layout and excellent course conditions! Not as difficult as some of the other courses we’ve played
Did not play due to coronavirus; reservation was cancelled but unable to reach golf now despite multiple efforts to reach at the phone number listed on website which nobody picked up no matter what time I tried.
We found Silverado Golf Club on the Golf Now app. We picked the “deal” tee time and we had a wonderful time. From the bag drop, pro shop to the cleaning of our clubs, the staff was very hospitable. Great course!
Great local course
Silverado is one of our go to courses. Golfer friendly and staff are always friendly. Always in joy our round here
Great local course with awesome 19th hole- usually
Love the staff, nice pro shop. Great food. Course is spread out but perfect for the casual golfer.
I found this course to b forgiving, in fine shape and with consistent greens. However there was a lot of standing water due to recent rains. There is no driving range just nets. Lots of foot and bicycle traffic beside the tee boxes. There was a nice variety of holes with nice bale out areas if u get in trouble. I think there is value in playing this course if u find a deal.
Been coming here for years now! I play all over the valley and I cannot say this enough... the customer service by EVERYONE on this property is BEYOND INCREDIBLE! I wish other courses would take a page from these ladies and gentlemen! I have made this my ‘Go To Course’ for this very reason. Incredible group of people that take care of a course that’s in wonderful shape! Keep it up Silverado crew! What you do DOES NOT GO UNNOTICED!
We played a few days after significant rain fall. Many of the fairways were affected. Lots of water on the course. We played it as cart path only, many holes paths were flooded.
Asking full price when many of the holes were affected by the water on the ground was not cool.
The rangers were cranky about the cart path only rule. On the course you had to choose what side of the hole to drive.
A lot of money for a course not in its best shape.
Silverado No No
No practical range and a dangerous layout
Greens are Pinckney marked from ball marks not being repaired
Although not a long course, it has it’s challenges as with every course. You can make it longer by playing back tees. I have been playing here as my home course for many years and come back each year because of the impeccable condition of the course and the great people who work there.
Balanced course and good value
I examined other reviews before booking and I am pleased to say this course not only met but exceeded my expectations. The course has generous landing areas and can be a good fit for golfers of all abilities. The groundskeepers take obvious pride in keeping the course in great shape.
