Good fun course
I really enjoyed my round. I made birdies and I made doubles. All deserved. The greens run true and just short of too fast.
Definitely a very nice course. The greens were terrific and I’d play there again. It’s a wonderful layout with a fair amount of challenging holes.
5 hour round, and cart path only
I understand “cart path only” because of the recent drenching rains but the combination of that and 7/8 minute starting times created a really slow round, 4 hours and 55 minutes.
I’m going to say what I always say when a round,is that slow - the course that just takes your money and then puts out a new group every 7/8 minutes, and without any marshaling to try and help speed, things along has poor course management, and doesn’t deserve to be given any praise. And, no beverage cart!
ALBERTA SNOWBIRD REVIEW
Good course for the money- puts lots of courses I have played to shame- greens are fast and have grass
Fairways have grass not slim- tee boxes are great overall good course- play it about one to two times a week- one hourdrive but Oh well- worthit for money couple wonky holes but oh well #10 and 11
Course is in great shape
Ditto. Course is in great shape. Greens are really good.
They need Marshals!
My only complaint is the pace of play. People look for golf balls for ten or fifteen minutes. They drive out into the desert looking for golf balls. They play the wrong tees for their game. Somebody needs to be on the course making these slow players move ahead.
alberta Snowbird prospective
Good course- grass on fairways- greens are good- staff is great- long drive from San Tan Valley but the course is a lot better shape then most around San Tan - Will definetly play again before we head NORTH!
Had a group a head with a hcp guy- should of had the blue flag but overall great time-- they were over a hole behind however we finished in 4-10 mins
No marshalling at all. 35 minutes to play first hole as a SINGLE
Old timers course
Different layout, two par 5s on front and back in first 4 holes.
NO on course or at the turn beverage or snacks.
As a whole in good shape.
Had to start on hole 10, #1 handicap
Nice desert layout
This course is a nice desert layout and usually has some wind to deal with which makes it interesting to say the least. Not a lot of trouble but enough to challenge all types of golfers. Course is in very good condition right now.
Jack was right when he said golf was supposed to be hard. Those pin placements were brutal today. Great test and lots of fun.
More info, please
I luckily found out by email from GolfNow that my tee time was cancelled just before I left the house. This saved me a 45 min drive each way. The reason was”weather” which was vague since it was sunny and 58 at the time. A little more info would make me feel less like I got bumped for members.
