Great course, fairways punched
Current conditions are punched fairways, otherwise greens and tee boxes excellent. Very tight lies around greens, and ground is damp. Difficult for chipping. Overall course is good for mid-June. Best value in town. Super friendly staff.
Saddlebrook Ranch
If you’re looking for senior Golf, this is the place I didn’t have it boring and extremely easy. I will not go back.
Bundle up, Buttercup!
SBR is a very playable (read: not penal) course, usually in good shape. The advice here is simply to be aware that it is often cool and windy at "the ranch" and you would be smart to throw a couple of extra layers in the car so you are prepared for variable conditions. We weren't... and shivered through an otherwise enjoyable round.
Great Layout, Friendly Staff, Dry Hard Fairways
Greens are very firm and fast; don’t bother looking for a ball mark to repair. Fairways generally wide and generous. Biggest complaint is the tightness of lies both on fairways and around greens. Good value for the money.
Pace of Play Untenable!!!
I went out as a single late in the afternoon to get in 9 holes. It took 1 hr to play the 1st 3 holes so I gave up. Groups ahead took forever looking for their balls in the washes, unprepared to hit their next shots while waiting for their playing partner. No ranger on the course to speed up play. Ridiculous that it would translate in a 6 hour round!
Winter bird at Saddlebrooke
Decent course, greens, traps, fairways and tees all in good shape.
Pace of play a little slow
Recommend to play
3 hours and 30 minutes on a Sunday!!
Breezy but beautiful Sunday morning round. Greens were firm and fast and the entire course was in great shape!
Good course....but pace
The front nine pace is good....the back nine pace is poor. The design of holes 10 and 11 bring the pace of play to a screeching halt. Both holes could easily be modified to dramatically improve the pace of play. After the turn, the backup to start hole 10 can easily be 20-30 minutes.
Perfect Greens
I've been playing this course for over 15 years (Since the starter was in a trailer). The recent renovations of the greens a few years ago have really paid off. They (the greens) are PGA perfect. Absolutely immaculate! Overseeded fairways were in excellent condition...keep up the good work!
Nice wide open course layout but
The pace of play was very slow. With a tee time just after 1pm, we finished in the dark. Never saw any evidence of a course marshal....maybe that is why people move so slow on this course. The gentleman at the front desk was very curt with me....must have been having a bad day. I like the course layout and the condition of the course, but count on a slow round....
