Another perfect Sunday!
3 and 1/2 Hour round on a Sunday morning! Course is in fantastic shape...as always!
Forgiving Course and Friendly Staff
Saddlebrooke Ranch is in the center of a very active community. Besides the golf course, there are many other activities that the residents enjoy such as: bocci, pickleball, tennis, and other community events and activities. Go for a good round of golf and see for yourself.
Ball Rolls Forever!
First time playing this course. Staff was very friendly. Practice/warm-up facilities are excellent. Course was in great shape. Greens were very fast, but not difficult to read. Course has wide open fairways and the ball rolls forever. Layout isn't bad, but not a lot of interesting features. Pretty flat. I was told by a regular that course conditions tend to be windy, which is what we experienced. I would play it again.
SBR
other player hat on backwards, shirt hanging out and little understanding of standard golf
procedures.
Staff
I've played all over the country, but when coming to the Ranch I need to check myself and make an effort to change my expectations until I'm on the course and away from the first tee.
Have never been to a course where the 'rules' are so unkindly forced down your throat in such a brutal unkind and unwelcoming way. From the pro shop to the cart person to the rules for approaching the first tee nothing welcoming takes place. Totally different experience from almost all courses we play.
It's like the atitude is you are lucky we even allow to play here. Sad.
On the course yesterday we had a totally unique and dangerous experience with a member of the grounds crew.
We had just gotten out of our carts to approach the tee box when your staff came by on his mower cutting the rough alongside the cart path where we were standing. He continued past us within 18 inches throwing stones and grass at our legs! NO EXAGGERATING! Unbelievable.Love the course with the forward tees for the ladies but how much aggravation is that really worth!
Chilly start...fantastic Sunday!
Course is in fantastic shape ...greens running quick and.pure. 3 and 1/2 hour pace of play on a Sunday morning. Awesome!
Great golf. Hole in one!
We signed up and joined a member's tee time for the day. Conditions were a little wet, but they had just opened after being closed 2 days from rains. The closure allowed the course to dry out in perfect shape without all the cart tracks and damage. There was virtually no wind but you could tell on windy days the course would play much harder. Greens were ~3 years old, very firm on the front 9 but still receptive and in great shape. They had a grain to them, not typical in the Tucson area, so reading greens was more complex. The experience got even better on #12 watching a great tee shot disappear into the cup. Finding the clubhouse after 18 is a distance and wasn't marked well, so we took the roads back. All in all a memorable golf day.
Good scenery and views.
Course was in good shape. the pace of play was acceptable. Friendly staff. Only negative was the snack-bar hours. Only opened for 4 hours. Would play again.
very good
fair price the day b4. course good shape. dry so balls will run. friendly staff. would play again.
Saddlebrook Ranch
If you’re looking for senior Golf, this is the place I didn’t have it boring and extremely easy. I will not go back.
Bundle up, Buttercup!
SBR is a very playable (read: not penal) course, usually in good shape. The advice here is simply to be aware that it is often cool and windy at "the ranch" and you would be smart to throw a couple of extra layers in the car so you are prepared for variable conditions. We weren't... and shivered through an otherwise enjoyable round.
Great Layout, Friendly Staff, Dry Hard Fairways
Greens are very firm and fast; don’t bother looking for a ball mark to repair. Fairways generally wide and generous. Biggest complaint is the tightness of lies both on fairways and around greens. Good value for the money.
