Decent layout, slow play , indifferent staff
We had a frost delay and didn't tee off until 1:15. No rangers , and the group in front of us fell far behind on the back nine (2 1/2 hours), they were residents and didn't seem to care that there were two other groups waiting for them on every hole (worse yet, they were only a threesome). Course is fairly easy, flat, but have the fastest greens we have ever played on. The course difficulty is all on the greens. Three putting appears common and 4 putting not rare. I would only go back for the price we paid $42/person.
Greens Like Putting on Marble
Nice layout. Fairways and greens dormant. Fairway grass cut too short. Easier to hit from rough. Greens fastest
I ever played. Very difficult to judge speed.
Painfully Slow pace of play
Needed the Marshall to stay on top of the group in front of ours. We had groups on our heels the entire round with an open hole in front of the group ahead of us and the Marshall wouldn’t move them along. Disappointing!
Super nicely rolling greens
I had a great time - great course conditions, got paired with two players that were the epitome of gentlemen. Just great day!
Challenges
Several tee boxes for all levels. I think the slope ratings are tougher than they say. Greens are a touch sandy, but that may have been from the rains we had the days before..I think the course is challenging and yet there is enough room on most holes for the higher hanicappers.
Super fast greens...great conditions!
Typically windy morning but overall conditions of this course are excellent! Greens are rolling really quick and nice and firm which is what they should be this time of year. Practice area is awesome... staff was fantastic.
Love this course
Staff are always friendly. A very scenic course with both desert and mountain views. My husband especially loves this course as he shot his age there.
Thumbs Up
Course is very easy & the greens are always in wonderful shape. Pace of play is good majority of the time.
great shape
Played Saddlebrooke on a sunny but very windy day. The course is in great shape and the greens are fast. Bunkers in very good shape as well. Good challange and great scenery. The $30.00 green fee was a no brainer
Great Place to Play
Saddlebrook Ranch provides a great option just north of Tucson. The positives include a great layout, great practice area, good post round options for food, and the greens are in great shape! The only negative is that the course did not overseed. The course itself is still in pretty good condition although there are some tough spots in the fairways and around the greens. Overall, it's still a lot of fun to play and we'll be back....
Course Conditions
Course could use some tender loving care ! Fairways need help green’s need some consistency !
