About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

Wonderful greens
Greens are fabulous, challenging, but super nice
Layout is kinda harsh. Some fairways are really bad

Early spring conditions
A scenic course with some challenging holes. We played in early February so fairway grass is just coming out of dormant stage. Greens were immaculate. Staff is excellent.
Greens
Best greens in the Destin area, smooth and fast, worth the drive north
Greens are great, fairways not so much.
But considering it’s off season (January) the course played ok. It was a nice day and we had a lot of fun. There wasn’t anyone ahead of us so they let us go off early. But the young man at the check-in counter was pretty upset about us using GolfNow, and not very respectful…He was like 30 years old and we are like 70 years old. I guess for the price I didn’t expect a very congenial host at the check-in, haha! But this guy seemed almost trying to be a jerk. Oh well, there was a young lady there, and she was very nice.
Booked again!

Nice greens
Course was in good shape for early February. Greens were great! The young man at check in took the air out of an otherwise good day. He was pretty upset at us for having used GolfNow to pay, seemed pretty obstinate about the whole check in process. Had some more negative vibes when I stopped in for something at the turn. We’ll go back, usually 3 or 4 times during our FL stay. Just be a little nicer experience if they were a little more friendly.

Great pace and value. Greens were in good shape but very slow.
Fantastic greens
The greens were in fantastic shape. Some of the fairways were in very bad shape, some were just OK shape. Bunkers in very good condition. It's a dormant season, so expectations were not too high. Seems like some funds should be expended on fairway improvement on many of the holes.
