Won’t be my last time
First time playing this course. Great shape and loved the layout. The 9th hole Par 3 was beautiful. Highly recommend this course. I’ll be back.
Very nice track!
It's very early season here in the northeast so the course had little grass growth but was in very playable condition. With all of the cold, wet weather, this course was in very good condition with no wet spots and no limitations of where you could drive a cart. The greens had full coverage but a bit hairy since there has been no chance to mow or roll. On the whole, this course has done a very good job maintaining conditions. I can't wait to go back with better weather/conditions.
Good course
Make an effort to try this course. Very good time for the money spent
Cold and blustery
Yes it was but the course was in great shape for late November! Still some leaves around but the wind had a lot to do with that, Shout out to Bob behind the counter for his help in managing our tee time!
A Nice course
Not overly challenging to frustrate you but enough to bring you back for another 18.
Great course. Only bummer was carts were due in at 5.00. So could not finish the last two holes.
Decent Course
Not a bad place to play. I couldn't imagine walking the course because some of the holes have quite the distance between green and tee box. Tee Box's were a bit chewed up and they should have moved the markers. Fairway's were great and the rough was pretty good too. Greens were fast and tough to keep you ball on them from long range shots. New Clubhouse! It was empty but time will change and maybe more appealing next year. GolfNow had $50 for a Sunday including cart so it was worth the $$.
Granite Fields is fun
Nothing too hard for the most part, but a few holes will test your mettle and mental faculties
I'll be back again
Great time at Granite Fields. The staff was super friendly, from the maint guys, to the starter, to the guy fixing ball marks. Free cold bottle of water at the turn. Tees were being verti-sliced, but not a problem. Slow foursome let us play through with a smile. Greens were great. I'll be back.
Surprise, surprise
I was very surprised by this course. I would highly recommend to one and all. Layout is good, although there are some water hazards on back nine for which distance is unknown. Like #10, from blue tees hit nothing more than 200 yds. #8 is a GREAT par 3. The quirky part is that you must drive long distance to get to 1st tee, and then from 18 back to clubhouse. I think maybe design was for #10 to be #1, but then after 9, clubhouse along way off.
Not a walking course for sure - need a cart! Tee's could use a little more tender care, but conditions good, greens nice. I play by myself with 11:10 tee time (it rained earlier that day) and finished in 2:15. Going back this week same tee time, will hope pace of play and number of players remains the same.
Course is Good, Some staff have bad attitude
I live nearby and have played several enjoyable full price rounds here. Today I found a good Golfnow deal so my wife and I decided to play on short notice. On the 11th hole it started pouring which flooded and closed the course. We came in drenched. I went to the pro shop to ask about the rain check policy.. The reply I got, IN A VERY SARCASTIC TONE was..."You bought on Golfnow...send them an e-mail and let me know how you make out." It was clear this person has a bad attitude about Golfnow. I felt degraded and doubt I will ever visit this course again. Golf is supposed to be enjoyable.I left Granite Fields feeling insulted.
Nice course, but play was slow
Very nice layout, but play was slow and greens were recently irrated which made the greens very inconsistent. I think this would be a great course if speed of play was faster and I heard greens are very fast when they have not been irrated.
Day at the course
I booked a twosome on line through golf now. I was very disappointed we had to play the back nine twice. They told me the front nine was closed. The guy that got me the cart said he was not fond of golf now. I think they should have informed golf now about the front nine being closed. I think the guy that got the carts was out of line commenting on golf now. They do bring business to many courses.
Worth the trip
Give this place a try. Very walkable if you need a little exercise. Twilight rate is a bonus. Enjoy
Just curious why the low ratings. Did you have a bad experience or very slow round? A few comments would help.
I played there a couple of days ago and it was in good condition after the "spring" we've had, and I played 18 in three hours, albeit as a single in a cart.
Thx...
