I had intentions of playing all 18 holes but when I called for a tee time they told me it will be wide open so just show up. So this is what I did. Guess who looked at me like I should have got a tee time when I showed up?
After venting my frustration with the pro shop staff and the head pro I decided to just play 9 holes since I was on a tight schedule.
Even though I was a little peeved at the situation, I still found Heart River to be a nice course. It was in excellent shape from tee to green and it was equipped with a nice pro shop and great signage along the course.
The mature trees seem to provide a separation with other holes but it does play very open. This course is very easy once you stay away from the trees and rough, the greens are fairly predictable and subtle.
Wish I could have made time for the back nine but circumstances got in the way. Pace of play was pretty slow on this day.
