Very Fun Course!
This course (the hills) will challenge you but will still play for a fun time for beginners and you shouldn’t lose too many balls!
The fairways are nice and open and the pace of play is always quick whenever I’ve been on Saturdays.
The staff is very friendly and always accommodating to any concerns.
Carts are reliable and have never quit out on me.
Out of the 7-8 times I’ve played this course I’ve always felt the flag locations have been fair besides one time on one hole.
Recommend this course for anyone looking to have a fun relaxing experience.
Staff doesn't communicate
Played on 12/31, had a tee time at 11:52. Checked in as normal and on hole 12 a kid came up to us and said course was closing at 2:45?!?! Of course we were upset as there was zero communication from the staff when we checked in. Went to the office and the man locking up said they were closing, he was rude and yelled that he didn't care that we weren't told about closing early. My biggest issue is they should have communicated the early closing and atleast charge twilight rates, we payed full price with no concessions for the lack of communication
Had no carts available for our round
Had a 1 PM tee time and when we showed up no carts were available and 30 people were waiting for carts to be returned so they could start the round. No baskets for range balls were available either. Paid for 18 holes got started 40 minutes late and then they came out on the course and made us turn our carts in before we finished the 18 holes. We also had a group of six players in front of us which slowed down the pace of play and a group of five players ahead of them. No concession on them being late and having no carts still was charged the full price with no vouchers or any concessions whatsoever. I will never play this course again.
paired up with another single and we were done in 3 hours
Fairways and greens are in good shape. It was not crowded if you start there early, before noon. It was 50 degrees, but sunny. I took my jacket off halfway through the round. I prefer playing the hills vs. The River because The River always gets backed up on the back nine. There are no golf Marshals to keep-up the pace of play. Don't like the food there, so I pack my own lunch. I still like the course. One advantage is that you don't have to pair someone up if you don't want to, like many other courses do.
City parks and recreation, Hello
Wish they would just put a little money into course.
Cart guy was the nice person at course.....
Great Layout with OK Conditions
We played the Hills Course, and it was a great layout. Lots of driver action with a few par 3s to make it interesting. Wasn't too difficult to navigate as a beginner. Didn't lose a ton of balls to hazards, so that was nice.
The only gripe we had were the conditions of the rough and the greens. Obviously, we are approaching the off season, but the roughs were very dry with barely any grass at points. It wasn't a major issue, but I thought it was worth noting. The greens were extremely patchy. Made putting a nightmare because it was very inconsistent.
Overall, fun time. I'd come back in the spring where conditions will most likely be a lot nicer.
Play the Hills
I like this course. For mr, it’s a challenge. I really like that the cart girl came around so many times.
Loved the course
My son and I when to play the Hillside course it was very fun. The greens were fast and it was a cool day. We will be back to play the Riverside course next.
Get what you pay for
Without being to harsh, reminder — it is a municipality course. I played the hills course. The grounds were harder than anything I’d experienced in a long while, and mostly dirt. Greens, good luck getting anything to stick, whatsoever. Tee boxes, Same deal. Be sure to bring plastic tees, not wood. Once again, I payed roughly $20 after all my discounts — so little expectations, but personally just wasn’t a fan. Only benefit is I bet my drives went an extra 30yards.
Great value for your $
I’ve played here several times and I must say it’s a pretty nice course for the money
