Not as good as it used to be...
In the past, I loved playing the River course. You could always tell that the city put the money needed into it to make it a great track from tee to green. But, when I played it most recently, it was in the worst conditions I have seen there. The tee boxes were not manicured, the bunkers had no sand in them, weeds everywhere and the greens were beyond bumpy. I do not know what happened, every other course in the area is in great shape but this one seems to be struggling.
Great course / Great value
Played the Hills side. Greens were excellent and very receptive. Whole course in great condition even with little rain. Highly recommended playing here. Will definitely be back.
Course is in great condotion
Course was in great condition, very happy with pace of play and fairways/greens being in great shape
Really nicely maintained for as much as it gets played
Pecan Valleys gets a lot of traffic. It was really nicely maintained for as much as it gets played. Gyres, fairways and greens really in great shape this spring. Pace of play is always an issue on a nice Friday afternoon but stil got through in 4 hours or so.
Always Steady & Consistent
The River is the better of the 2 courses but the Hills is a good backup, Cost is more than reasonable & is almost always in good to very shape. These 2 courses get a lot of play for good reasons. I recommend them both!
Pecan Valley
I must say, I was very impressed by the conditions. I swore I’d never play this course again due to the greens and how the course was from about 6-8 months ago. Definitely need cart girls during the week though!!

I enjoyed playing the course in perfect weather. The last 4 holes took almost 2 hours do to slow play.

Didn’t care
They didn’t care about scheduling. We waited 40min at the tee box. There were too many groups of 6. We left and went to another course down the road.
Great mini pal course
Course in good shape and decent value for the money but a lot of bare spots even in the fairway.
My daughter is learning and I told the marshal that on the first tee. He put a twosome behind us and then drove up to our he first green to tell us she was t moving fast enough. Her ball was up there with everyone else’s but I had her pick it up anyway.
The guy was a jerk about it. I leave been playing golf for almost 40 years and this was the worst marshal I’ve ever run across. He wouldn’t listen to me and acted like he would pull us from the course. I will not go here again.
Nice course for the money
I like this course for the money. The greens are a bit bumpy but it's early April so they will most likely get better as the grass fills in. Pace of play on 4/7/23 was pretty slow. They really need a marshal on the Hills course as the group in front of us teed of nearly 15 minutes late.
Still a fun course for the money. I will play there again.
Awesome condition, but large group on tee box
At our tee time there was a group of 8 on the first tee box, so started on the back 9 first. Besides that the course was in spectacular condition and a great play.
