Well maintained
Course was in good shape well-maintained layout very interesting beautiful finishing hole
Well kept course
Had a great time at weathervane.
The course is always in nice shape.
Look forward to coming back.
Great Value From GolfNow
The course was in great condition the day that we played. The course was still "Cart Path" only, but this was not much of an inconvenience due to the fact that the paths were well placed for walking onto the fairways/greens. The course has a nice mix of short and long holes. While the clubhouse has not been built yet and the parking lot is just gravel/dirt, I am sure it will be great once it is completed.
Great layout!
Looking forward to the clubhouse.
Needs work
This was "list" price at $65 and there was a $20 discount through Golfnow.com. Figured I would try it out as it's new. Turned out to be a 9 hole that you played twice. No club house...just a dorm refrigerator with wather. No snacks for purchase, no frills. This all would've been fine, but I expected that a $65 course would have 18 different holes and some snacks to buy.
Who aerates the greens at the end of June?
My husband and I have played this course several times over the past years since they became public. The conditions were always fantastic and the greens were great. We went Sunday and had no idea the greens were recently aerated, in June? The fairways were in rough shape and burnt in some areas. We were very disappointed with this course conditions. It's the first time this year we played here. We got out early which was a nice surprise the tee box was wide open 20 minutes before our tee time. No one behind us and a foursome in front that kepted up a good pace once we caught up to them. We made the turn around 2:00 and the breaks were put on. There was no starter out and 2 foursomes waiting to tee off along with the foursome that was in front of us making the turn. If we were only playing 9 holes it would of been fine but making the turn and waiting on each hole while another foursome is waiting to tee off is crazy! We took off after the 11th hole!!
The Greens are the Star of the day
When I booked this round I did not know it was a 9 hole layout. No worries.
The tee boxes offer a variety of play to enjoy the full 18 holes with front 9 to be different than the back 9. The course was in great shape. As I said, the greens were the star of the day. Fast and smooth. Pace of play was not even a concern. I used every club in my bag. If you are the grip it and rip it type of player this course will not impress you, as course management will dictate the choice of clubs. If the 19th hole is important to you, well, this course for now operates out of a trailer with NO 19th hole. I enjoyed myself enough that I will be back to play again.
Going to be great in several months
This nine hole course has an interesting layout and variety of tees. It s short for most golfers and very few bunkers. As an advanced woman golfer I played the whites but could have played the blues as most of the tees are together. There are no food facilities here yet but the plans are to be completed by end of the summer 2016. The one toilet is in the golf trailer where you check in. We didn't know this before so glad we had a good breakfast before arriving. Enjoyed it now but can't wait to go back when the course is ready for full facility and play.
Great Condition
Played here recently. Course was in great shape! greens, fairways and tee boxes were all well kept, and the bunkers were some of the best around
Will definitely be back!
Great condition, boring
Course conditions were some of the best I've played. However, for the price the course was not that challenging.
First Time but not last time
Well worth checking it out. Great conditions and and overall great experience
Must visit, must play. Fun track, nice shape!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by very friendly staff. I was immediately informed on the lay of the land and was let off the first tee. The course is in good shape and greens rolled nicely. A little damp with the prior day's rain and most greens were not whipped or otherwise to remove dew. Fun course from the black tees with some demanding tee shots. Some trimming back of the overhanging trees should be addressed. The bunkers are nice and filled with forgiving sand. Interesting 9th/18th hole. Have fun!
Great hidden gem
Really nice condition all around the course. Well manicured fairways and greens, exceptional bunkers and nice layout for a 9 hole course. Clubhouse is under construction and my only complaint was we couldn't sit and have a beer after but the course itself is fantastic. Challenging hazards make it a lot tougher than it looks but not overly nasty. Will definitely play here again.
The clubhouse thing is a real issue there. Especially for members (or former members like myself) every year we were told itd be complete... 6 yrs later... nothing. I do love tbe course though!#
Great staff, fun course
Weathervane is a small 9 hole course with attractive rates. The course is always in great shape and the staff is extremely friendly. They always remember me when I show up!
Very Nice Course!
Very nice course and in excellent condition. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended.
nice 9 hole layout. good condition on the course
There is no clubhouse, and the parking lot is dirt. Also, my cart backfired several times which is a first for me. I felt like Jed Clampett. Yee ha!
Other than that, course is in great shape and the layout is interesting. It's on the short side, so if you want 3,000 yards then play the black tees.
Also worth mentioning: there are green tees to make it an executive length if you want to bring along a young one learning the game. (Or a lady friend)
I wouldn't expect any club house any time soon... I was a member there since the beginning and every year I heard that the clubhouse would be done by the end of the year.... 6 years later and nothing... i do love the course. You need to be accurate with almost every shot and the greens are outstanding! Nice job Mike!!!
