Great layout with the 2nd hole being one of the best ever played.
The green had some winter kill that is just now growing in. Once it is grown in I would rate it much higher.
Usually a great course, but this year the greens are in horrible shape.
If like me you like this course, this year is not up to par.
Bad greens.
Fantastic course, but gotta fix those greens. Virtually every green was in bad shape.
As of June 2013, the greens are in terrible condition
As of June 2013, the greens are in terrible condition, Dead patches everywhere on the 13-14 greens (looks like winterkill on cheaper courses...but in June!!)
Only good grass on greens seems to be on the slopes thus pin placements were difficult to unfair.
Layout, fairways, and staff still great but would wait until later in the summer/fall and hope greens come back.
Great course, chewy greens
Always love playing the Marshes, but the greens have suffered significant die-off over the winter. Impossible to putt fairly.
everything good except brutal greens
I was satisfied with my overall experience except it will be weeks before these guys can charge full price given the condition of the greens!
Greens were in terrible shape but the rest of the course was pretty solid.
Greens were in terrible shape even for early May but the rest of the course was pretty solid. They also took away the GPS from the carts and on a lot of holes it's difficult to find a yardage marker.
20 + handicap = play somewhere else
If you are a true 20+ handicap and above you should probably choose another course. This course can really bite you. I played with 3 high handicap players and they all really struggled and lost many, many balls. 3 + dozen between the 3 of them. If you can hit the ball with some moderate accuracy and are looking to see where your game is at this is a fun course. The course is in great shape and the facilities are very top notch. I played the white tees on this day and they were great for the par 5's, just in the right spot. But on most par 4's they left you having a hard time hitting driver because the hole didnt suit a driver from the tee position. And the par 3's ended up all being the exact same distance 135 and 1 at 82. Shot 85 with 3 triples
Very challenging course with great condition
Hole 2 is the most difficult hole I ever played. It's one of the very top courses in Ottawa/Gatineaun area.
A Great Day on The Greens.
The Course was in great condition. My only pet peeve is that there are no yardage makers on the side of the fairways to easily know your yardage.
A very fair test
If you can drive it straight you can score?Very fair for all types of golfers, second hole is the hardest? Good luck?
Awesome And Humbling Course
Always enjoy playing here. Is a little pricey for Ottawa market but with Golfnow.com discount rates it's a steal.
In great shape. Staff are friendly, great range and quick challenging round.
Quite a challenging course, the nicest one I've played so far in the region.
6 par fives and 6 par threes, very long and beautiful course. Although expensive, worth every penny.
It is the best course that I played in Ottawa so far
My friend and I was very happy to plaied in this course. It is very challenge and maintained well course. Staffs in the course are very friendly. However, we losed a lot of balls because of the water and the challenges that we were facing.
Excellent track, great staff
I really enjoy this course. The 6 par 5's, 5 par 4's and six par 3's offer a great variety of challenges and opportunities for golfers of all calibers.
Number 2 longest most difficult par 5 in Ottawa area -great hole
Great staff, great course - food & beverage outstanding
Not worth the money and a bad experience!
Lots of problems with this course. When we arrived, the pro shop guy was more interested watching TV than serving us. We had booked a T-Time but he tried to move it to a later 30 min to pair us up with another twosome. We went down to the started at our booked T-time and got out on time. The carts used to have GPS but no longer do. There is no course diagram at the holes or on the scorecard, so you have to guess what each hole looks like. The course is covered in goose droppings. It is everywhere.
On the good side the course is challenging and pace of play was excellent.
Overall I would not return to this course. There are way better ones in the Ottawa are for the money.
I was pleased with the GolfNow arrangements, although I was informed by the staff of the course that there was no rain check on GolfNow's bookings.
The greens were in poor shape for such a high end course. When compared with the greens on much cheaper courses, they need alot of attention.
Overall, it was a postive experience, although we were delayed by a thunderstorm and rain, and I was informed there was no rain check on GolfNow's bookings. I was glad to have played and was pleased with the arrangements through GolfNow, with everything working out smoothly.
for how nice this course is it is a real surprise how poorly it is marked for yardage
