Deer Creek North - Diamond and Pearl
Excellent layout and course conditions. Not long (white) but lots of trouble in play. Very fair - excellent course overall!
A challenging North course
Very well maintained and beautiful North Course. Good facilities as it provides a venue for many activities like wedding so can expect a pretty high level of service n standard. Marshall n staff very polite n friendly and the beverage cart is always around. Fairways n greens in good condition except one or two tee platforms needed repair n touch up. Saw the electric golf bike which is very cool but cost $35 to rent compared to the usual power cart of $20 rental. Didn’t see this in other golf courses.
North course
Overall the course is in great shape except a couple of the tee boxes are bare they need to allow grass to grow and some of the greens had ant hills on them. It’s still a very good golf experience I would recommend anyone to play it.
A Durham golf classic
When you think golf in Durham region, of course, Deer Creek immediately comes to your mind. It has been a golf leader since before I started playing back in 1992.
The “good old days” of just Deer Creek and Fawn Brook have been replaced by a multi nine hole extravaganza which gives you a chance to mix in sone of the old with some of the new. Amazing.
The set up due to COVID is great. Very fast and efficient check in. Staff super friendly and fast processing the check in. Cart personnel and started very friendly as well.
Beer cart girls super friendly and super safe with their transactions.
Weather was great as the recent humidity had broken. Just a nice hit and sunny summer day. Course in great shape considering the recent lack of rain. They are definitely spending money on water!
Carts very clean and include double USB ports which is great as we love to listen to music while we play. You can charge your phone AND your speaker while you play.
Groups spaced out appropriately so you don’t feel pushed to play faster.
Nice to see some of the new residences that have been recently built on the Ruby nine too.
Our threes one had a great day followed by an amazing dinner at home sitting on the deck recalling the good and bad shots of the day.

Diamond / Black Pearl
Played August 15 , had a member for the first 9 holes, however when I called day prior to see if I could add 1 person to my booking I was told by pro shop that the tee time was full.
Was surprised and a little ticked off to find out that my friend could of joined our group, as it was just myself and friend playing second 9 alone.
Deer Creek North
Place of play extremely slow, tee times either were not stretched enough or the marshal did not do a good job in speeding up the slow groups. Extremely frustrating
