Good day
I played the white and red nines and enjoyed the variety and challenge of the holes.I got a excellent deal through GolfNow to play, so the value for money was very good.
A Good Course heading south
This course is becoming what is known as "typical Golf North" course. Greens are inconsistent in speed from one nine to the next and green firmness is different from one green to the next. Typical public course greens, no one repairs ball marks (I was fixing 2 to three every hole) sand traps not raked. Bunkers are not consistent with the amount of sand in them. One has 2" of new sand, the next right beside it has 1/4". Fairways are inconsistent in length. Some look like the mower was set at rough height. Tee boxes are not level and it looked like the blocks hadn't been moved in 2 to three days. It's a shame because Foxwood could be a very good course. We wanted to eat dinner at the club house. They were out of chicken fingers (twice this has happened this year) and they had no hamburgers on the menu. To bad actually because they lost 2 food and drink orders. We went for Chinese food.
Frustrating
Golf course was nice however no one to check if tee times were followed had 412 tee time and 3 men went before us who had 428 time and they slowed down our play at every hole that we only played 9 having paid for 18 as it was too frustrating to continue..
Fairways under repair
All the greens were in excellent shape. They were consistent across the course.
There were a number of fairways where there was ground under repair while they completed some over seeding. And at least half a dozen fairways (blue to white) that haven't been cut in a little while as the grass was slightly shorter than the rough.
some good challenges
overall conditions very good and dog legs particulalry tight to get around the corners on several holes. Par 3's are all challenging and good long distances
Always a good day
Enjoyed the starter, always like golfing there. Lost a few balls
Decent course
A really good course if you have a discounted price. Overpriced at the regular rate.
condition
Overall the course was in poor condition. Greens were not cut and tee blocks were very rough.
Good bang for the buck
Foxwood is a decent course for a great price. Lots of tight fairways and tough tee shots. Greens are slower then usual however the greens are small to increase difficulty. Overall a great course for the price.
great day
It was in good shape for October. green were still soft, fairways were good tee blocks a little rough (but its Oct). A little slow but all in all a nice course and will play it again.
This course has a beautiful layout
This course will likely become my weekend "go-to".
Terrible Place
The customer service was atrocious. The "pro" behind the counter was anything but professional (I found out later he was not a CPGA Professional although he claimed to be). They had over-booked the course and their so-called pro treated the matter with disregard and a clear contempt for Golf Now tee times. The course itself is in utter and complete disrepair. Do not let the supposed deeply discounted price fool you into expecting anything more than a dirty horse track. Uneven rough, bumpy greens and terrible tee decks. It wasn't even worth the $20. Play somewhere else!
pleasantly surprised
decent course overall.....(considering mgd by Golf North).........would definitely play again.
Not for begginers
Course was in reasonably good shape, greens were ok except for divot marks not repaired, fairways were good and the rough was rough. All in all a good experience for not playing this course in many years.
Great course
Enjoyed our day, staff was friendly and the course was in excellent condition.
Average Course but better options out there in KW
Played Friday Afternoon,
Staff were great and very accommodating, course was pretty rough. There was a tournament played earlier in the day but overall condition of this course was pretty rough. Played Rebel and Grey Silo the next day which were not much more money but a lot more value.
Nice Thursday PM at FOXWOOD
Blue course seemed in better condition than the wide, and most members headed that way; they seem to spend more time over time for maintenance than the white, which seems to be allocated for visitors. There are some nice elevation changes. A few intersecting paths could lead to confusion. Nice layout nevertheless. They could indicate where the creeks and/or water streams are located though - no big deal as they are easy to fly the ball over them.
Shoot straight and you should be OK.
First time playing this course. Played white and red.
It is not a long course with the black tees playing just over 3000yrds for both, but with some tight fairways, small greens and doglegs, you can't afford to spray it too much. Bring a few sleeves of balls. Some nice elevation changes and rolling fairways makes it more interesting too.
my opinions
My booking time was 5:24pm. It was so difficult to play 18hole completely. As you know, It was time too late to play 18hole all.You should not sale late pm's booking. There is no lights.
It was not good. Others was not bad.
But how was the Chinese food?
