Well maintained.

This course has been well-kept over the years. It's not a standard 2 par 3s and 2 par 5s per side. Even the rough is well-kept. I found that putts held their line well and the greens were pretty true. The small greens were fun to try and hit in regulation. There are plenty of yardage markers to keep you aware of distances. A very enjoyable change of pace golf outing.

Really enjoy playing this course

This course is challenging enough to keep you honest. But, forgiving enough to let you score. The greens are relatively small, so you have to be sharp with your approaches. The hole yardages are varied well and end with shorter holes which makes it easier to finish strong in the Texas heat. I like playing the course.

100yr old historic beauty

I loved it....and the history there?? Made it magical. It's sad to see some of the wear showing on the area, but I'll do my part to keep it going strong.

Wonderfully maintained!

First time to play this course and I will return many times! Course is open and forgiving but has small greens that challenge you getting up and down. Hole layout is different than most courses that adds to a fun round. Greens and fairways are very nice and in great shape.

Great historic course

This is the 2nd time I've played this course in the last month but the 1st time through golfnow. I played a Thursday afternoon on a hot deal for $10. Hot deal or not I love this course. The course is "easy" in that most the fairways are straight and wide open but the greens are small and fast which levels the playing field. I was playing as a single but got paired up with another single just before I tee off. We teed off about 1pm and were done by 4. The course is well maintained, the fairways are in good condition, the greens are small, fast and true. Water comes into play on only a couple of holes, bunkers are scattered throughout but they are all very playable. My only issue with the course was at check in, the guy in the pro shop gave me a little bit of trouble because I had booked on golf now and wanted to see my confirmation email which I of course had deleted and could not find using my phone, he went ahead and let me play without issue but only after I spent a few minutes trying to find the email on my phone. I have played most of the courses in the area and this is my favorite, I will play this course often moving forward.

Awesome history. Fun layout with crazy finish with 4/5 final holes par 3.

Byron Nelson's home course - check out the trophy case in club. Very cool to be in the presence of legend. Course is fun - lots of short "go for it" holes. Open. Small greens. Good elevation changes.

This course is well maintained

Went to play on this course with a friend and we both had a good time and plan on coming back again. It would have been nice to have a cart girl but it was a Monday so I completely understand the reason behind it.

Easy on and easy off

This is an old course - it is fairly short and a lot of the holes are straight up and the next straight back. There is plenty of fun to be had on the par 3's - very challenging. Recommend you play from the blue tees - even the 'average' duffer can reach in regulation from the blues. The greens are all small.....and crowned....which means they rarely hold an approach shot that lands on the green. The greens are fast - especially downhill. Use the practice green because you will get the 'feel' of the greens before you go out and embarrass yourself.

Fun and historic

Just going to play Glen Garden in any condition is a great due to the rich history of the course. Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, and Sandra Palmer all got their starts by playin the course. The greens rolled true and at a quick but fair pace and the fairways were very pure. The rough was not the best but still had a lot of grass but was relatively short. The greens received balls well and it was a joy to play. The course is not verychallenging with today's standards and is quite short (6100 yds) but does have two long par 3s. The course is different, it has 4 par 5s, 5 par 3s and 9 par 4s. I would recommend this course more as a "go have fun round" as apposed to a challenging level of play. The staff was friendly and I will definitely be going back.

Two Completely Different Nines

Two completely different nines; front has short holes, is flat and has lots of birdie chances; the back has long par 4s, two good back-to-back par 5s, and four par-3s that are challenging; more elevation on the back; back is at least four shots harder than the front; enjoyable round and excellent value

The course is great for beginner golfers

I have played this course several times and have been satisfied after each visit. Booking through Golfnow has made this course very affordable in comparison to not using it. I am a new comer to this game and have played the majority of my outings at Glen Garden Golf Course because of the great prices and available tee times offer through Golfnow. I brought my son with me this last outing, because of the great prices. Thanks Golfnow and Glen Garden for making me a fan of the sport.

very enjoyable day.friendly staff

The course is being maintained nicely. Even though the Greens were punched recently, the greens rolled fine. I will be going back soon and I expect even nicer conditions. I can see being a member at this course. Wide open, but also challenging.
