Tooth of the Dogpound Creek Golf Course
About
Tooth of the Dogpound Creek Golf Club sprawls across a scenic landscape that is also home to an abundance of wildlife that includes deer, ducks, and moose. The name is a play on its location in the valley of the Dogpound Creek. The course has a challenging design that utilized the natural features of the terrain. The layout flows along the gently rolling hills and incorporates the meandering creek that crosses the length of the golf course and the lakes and ponds that are sprinkled throughout. Tooth of the Dogpound Creek Golf Club begins with some challenging holes, the tricky part mainly being the small greens. After the first few holes the greens get bigger and more player friendly but be prepared for some elevated tees and greens that require careful course management.

Early season conditions
Course opened for less than one week. Early season conditions. Needs to green up and greens fill in. Fun course to play. Great value for the money.
Relaxing round of golf
The course was in good shape for early in the season. Greens wintered well but were a little slow which expected early. The course staff are always friendly with a relaxed country course feel and welcoming. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a round of golf.
good bargain out in the sticks
Nice course for the money, shapes up real nice during the season. Good variety in types of holes. Greens are actual green for being the beginning of April.Fun course
Fun course to play
We played in October so took our chances on a Golf Now pre-paid time. You never know what the weather will be like. It turned out to be a great day.
The course was in excellent shape, especially for this time of year. The fairways were quite wide except for a couple of holes.
With the exception of a couple of quirky holes it was a fun course to play and we will make an effort to play it again in the future.
No stress golf
An hours drive, peaceful, unhurried play. Nice and challenging in the trees
Breath taking views.
Absolutely love this course .Perfect course in the middle of farmland and riverbeds. First time golfing 18 holes , I would suggest bring lots of balls. Up the hill, around the corner, through the tress and and into the rattling bog., there's a new challenge or beautiful view at every hole.. This is one of the most fun for both the novice and experienced golfer.
Beautiful course, in excellent condition
We thoroughly enjoyed playing Tooth of the Dogpound. The course was busy and a marshall was around frequently to check that the flow was constant. The beverage cart came by twice in the 9 holes that we played which was nice.
The course was in excellent shape. I suggest you take a riding cart because of the distance between some of the holes and a couple very long holes. Our son and daughter in law last 20 balls...so come prepared.
Hidden Gem
A beautiful course situated along and amongst a beautiful little river valley. This is a challenging enough course for most golfers offering a mix of wide open fairways, dog legs, narrow approaches to greens requiring some precision shots. The course was in fantastic shape and offered fair but challenging greens. Worth the drive from Calgary - I will be returning soon.
The tooth
This time at the tooth I was quite shocked that they were offering twilight rates so early . All though I booked the tee time through golf now for a higher rate they did honour the twilight price . I have golfed here before and always have been treated well, this course is a hidden gem well worth the drive from Calgary.
Great wide open fairways
Only complaint is a bit pricey for 18 with a cart.
Think club selection
The nameplate creek meanders throughout several holes and requires careful club selection; while other holes allow opportunity to rip it.
good test
Fairly good course,Nice layout peaceful country setting , greens had just been sanded were fairly fast some fairways a shade long but had heavy rain overnight overall enjoyable will be back.
What a gem
This course has everything you want, and a little bit more!! It's a thinkers course, and there are many holes you may want to leave your driver in the bag?
Newbie
Very interesting layout. Some sand traps have been washed out. Overall, the course was challenging, but fair. A good mix of let the big dog eat combined with some target golf. A real pleasure to play. I'll be back!
Very peaceful among the trees
Second time I've golfed here this year, and I will be coming back for sure. Has a very relaxing atmosphere when you are out on the course which leads to better shots, most of the time. Could easily make this my home course.
Challenging Greens
Love this course, turtle back greens, great shape. Staff was very friendly, was done round in 3.5 hours.
A hidden gem
I'm always looking for hidden country courses away from the hustle of the big city. I found this course on Golf Now and was really surprised by the layout and condition. It has wide open fairways but yet brings just enough challenge into play. The course is totally worth money and I will definitely be back.
Great hole variety
Great scenic course designed around creek and trees through moderate hills and valley.
