Getting Busy

The winter of 2020 was much easier on the course, still a few greens need some heat and the rains we got this week. Should be prime in July. Fairways are getting to near perfect condition, now that the Covid issue is better defined the greens crew is fully staffed and they will have the course in great shape soon. Still an awesome track, if you have not played it, you are missing out on a treat.

Make the trip

Granite started 2019 out with some challenges with the greens but finished in style with the course in great shape. This is anything but prairie golf in Manitoba, with lots of contour and a few holes along the lake, its a must play track. if you have not made it out here, do it, you will not be disappointed. You will be talking about the round for weeks, whether its the foxes trying to inspect your ball or the deer leaving their mark on the greens its a treat.

Don't Miss This Golf Course

This is a destination golf course, if you are a golfer and in Manitoba, it is a must play. Four sets of tees allows you to take it from 7000+ to 5400, so you can play to your handicap. Lots of contour which is unique for prairie golf and plenty of vistas along the water. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape, greens are fast and treacherous but can get spike marked later in the day. Overall a real treat.

A truly amazing experience!

If you haven't played this course in a few years give it another go. Some of the staff have been replaced and the difference in the experience is wonderful! The starter was one of the friendliest and helpful people I have ever experienced on a golf course! The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful! We played 54 hole. The first 18 was $60CDN with a cart. The second 18 was $35CDN with a cart and the third 18 was $25CDN to ride (it is not a good walking course because of elevation changes and distance between greens and tees). The course was in perfect shape and the greens are some of the most challenging I have ever played. Many of the holes border the lake and the 13th and 14th hole make good use of the giant granite cliff. It is visually one of the prettiest golf courses. The pro shop is very limited and the food menu is small but the food was very good (home made steak and potato soup)

Great new MB course in cottage country

Played Granite Hills for the 2nd time. Course is quite challenging, lots of elevation change but beautifull views of Lake Lac du Bonnet on multiple holes. Played during the shoulder season special which is $45 during may which gets you a round and cart, even on weekends! My only concern was pace of play as we were waiting 10 min on every tee box. Mind you it was a Saturday with perfect weather. Fun day but bring lots of balls as you are one swing away from losing your ball in the dense woods.
