Best course in the Ottawa area for public play. Great greens and fairways in great shape
Reasonably priced gem 15 minutes from Nepean
Challenging from the rear tees for the advanced golfer and interesting without being intimidating for the novice using the forward blocks. Smooth, contoured greens and wonderfully maintained fairways for this early in the season. Only thing missing on a warm sunny Saturday was a beverage cart.
Worth the money
Apart from very slow threesome ahead of us, very enjoyable golf on well maintained course.
Regular rates expensive, but try to get deal.
Why do bad golfers play from white tees?
Equinelle
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways nicely cut ,greens very quick! Only problem some greens had leaves starting to accumulate on the putting surface!
Still amazing
Course is still in amazing shape. Especially considering the extreme heat and how dry it’s been.
The staff continues to be exceptionally friendly.
The layout is awesome. It creates a challenge but also allows less talented golfers, like myself, to enjoy the game.
Fairways are soft to walk on and the greens are well kept and fast.
Among The Best!
This course is among the best in our area. Conditions were stellar; pace of play was very good especially for a round on the weekend. I have not played here in two years and therefore noticed many improvements, including the beautiful new clubhouse.
Simply Amazing
Awesome layout, impeccable condition, friendly staff. Couldn’t have been better
A great course.
A long drive from Centretown, but worth the drive.
Greens were sandy and bumpy because they had been punched a week or so ago.
Getting pricey unless you can get a deal.
Awesome course
First time at this course and I must say it was very impressive. Fairways were awesome, rough was the way rough should be! Greens had recently been dressed but still rolling very true! Highly recommend this course
Good day
Though we were restricted to cart paths and the greens had been top dress 10 days prior, the golf was quite enjoyable.
Challenging, but fair.
Hard to believe that 2 days into Sept. a golf course has already done their aerating and top dressing, but that's what Equinelle did. That was quite disappointing. I think I left a few putts out there because of all the holes in the green. And Like so many other courses, I don't know why they have marshal's (player assistants?) because they don't appear to do anything with slow play. Other than that, I felt the course was in great shape and I would play it again... just not in Sept.
Why don't they tell you ...
eQuinelle is a "fun course" for all skill levels, but I get frustrated when I am not told that the course has just been aerated. All of the anticipation of playing this course went down the drain on the first green.
Equinelle -- Reservations
We picked this course (from several reviews) as one of two to play on our vacation to Ottawa (from the US), plus the chance to use the automated Golf Skate Caddy. When we got there, we were told the Skate Caddies were already booked for the day (we didn''t get that impression from the website), so we had to take a cart. We would have walked, but we were renting clubs and the bags were an unknown. Speaking of which, I had an interesting set of Nikes -- three pitching wedges (two the same, one left handed), no sand wedge, and an additional Wilson sand wedge). The course is fun to play, with a few good risk/reward holes. It partially winds through a housing development, so you'll probably hear some construction going on. We were really disappointed with not being able to use the skate caddies. Even though we were told they were booked for the day (how many are there? 8?), we never saw them out on the course. The price was certainly reasonable for the course, and my wife really enjoyed it as there were no forced carries (requiring lay-ups). A fun day, but see if you can reserve the skate caddies ahead of time if you go.
