Old at Firewheel Golf Park

Course is in good shape. Greens were good, played in a little over 4 hours, only $45 on a Saturday morning. I'll be back

Not bad for this time of year. Greens rolling consistently except for hole 9. An animal clearly dug it out in a few areas. Fun layout, challenging. Cannot hit driver on every hole, some require precision. Other just tee it up and let loose because there’s another fairway to bailout in. I wasn’t in the bunkers, but they weren’t raked probably because of the recent rain we had, they looked a little wet, but average for comparable courses in the area. Tees boxes were bare in some areas, but flat which is a plus for public courses imo. Fairways were pretty average and bare in some areas as well, but comparable. Overall a good experience for the price. Would recommend to a friend. Photo is of hole 18 fairway to green

Played this one a thousand times. I have never seen the grass so bare at this time of year. I hope for better weather and it fills in soon.
The greens are good though.

I'm a out of towner, and I was just looking for a place to play that was close to the hotel. I found Firewheel on Golfnow and it listed 3 courses. It had descent reviews, it was really close and a great price! So I booked a tee time. I pop in the pro shop and the staff was AMAZING!!! The guy asked if i had played here before and i said no Im from Ky here on business trip with the wife. He told he had family in Ky and asked how long we were here for. I told him 3 weeks. He then explained the layout of the 3 courses, pointed out everything and said its slow today so take your time and have fun!
I played the front 9 of the Lakes Course and even though it was January, I could tell this was beautiful course. At the turn my back was killing me so I went back in to return my cart. The guy said you finished already and told him my back was out. He immediately he said., O No, let me give you a rain check discount and you come back again before you leave town. I told him that was a deal and I have been back like 5 times now!!! LOL!!!

Nice course with fabulous finishing holes of 16, 17, and 18.

Always love playing the Old course. Course/greens in good shape for winter. I wish more people would fix their own divots plus one more. It sure would be nice for the next group coming in. Brand new carts were great. Would like to see GPS and would even pay a little more for it.

With all these average golf courses raising their rate and not delivering on playability and value, FireWheel has risen above and given the golfer a great value while maintaining a fantastic facility. Keep up the good work!
