Great for a time-crunch round or on course practice application
The Links at Fayetteville overall gets the job done and the golf out of the system. They (like most, if not all Links courses around here) have the silliest driving range & driving range rules. I highly advise whoever makes those decisions to go buy some range balls and sell buckets to your packed courses — your return will come, I promise. Either ditch the “hit your OWN practice balls into a pond” idea or learn how to fish them out. Range balls are cheap and re-usable, I don’t even know why I have to attempt to explain this to a corporate crowd.
Aside from the practice facilities, the course is fine. Hole #3 Green needs some rogaine because it’s bald & sandy. Fairways were beautiful, rough was cut & tough but not unforgiving. The layout is what it is—they’re an apartment complex. All in all it’s a good course for what they had/have to work with. The course itself plays quite fast but the players—well it just depends on the day. I’ve played the course before with no issues before. However yesterday we had 6 separate groups stacked up on Hole #2 due to a learner group. Yes, six.
Great course for the money, but seriously Lindsey Management hear me bro— go buy some range balls and dispensers and let people learn the game while you still get to do what you love—profit. The “BYOBalls & hit them into a pond” isn’t it. It’s not quirky, it’s not novelty—it’s a waste of space for you & wasted money for those who fall for it.
Great little course. Took my 12 year old out for his first round and he loved it.
Very nice short course with plenty of challenges
Enjoyed this course but they allow singles and our threesome was following a foursome that was walking and we had 3 singles waiting on every tee box with us and more singles coming up behind us. We attempted to play courteous golf and allowed 2 singles to play through but the singles kept coming so we played on but felt rushed the whole round.
Review
The course is in good condition for winter. Should reconsider cart path only policy and make it related to the wetness of the course.
Fun course
Fun course. Good challenging layout for any golfer.
Showed up 30 minutes before tee time. Had 20 people waiting to tee off and one person working. Delayed hours for tee off. I left
Terrible
Was supposed to tee off at 12 but they didn’t honor that. They didn’t have enough carts so we had to wait thirty minutes after our tee time. Staff was rude. Took way too long so we ended up walking. The course is in awful condition. Sand and bare spots all over every green. Don’t waste your time
