Beautiful course
Loved the course. It was very beautiful there and challenging. I just wish it were a little closer to my home. I will definitely take the time to go play there again.
Very nice course with right conditions
Squaw Valley is well know and respected in the DFW area and people travel to Glen Rose just to play here. Both 18 hole courses are nice layouts, challenging yet playable. It takes until April for the spring growth to kick in so it was not in full bloom in March. The greens are fast and true, However, the whole region is getting affected by Poana invasion. It’s a real hard problem to get rid of. All courses are trying to cut the greens close and roll on. The staff friendly and very organized and efficient.
Great course for the price
Drove an hour to play this course, was raining all day. Fairways were in great shape! Greens were in average conditions with weeds on them mowed. Would play again that’s for sure tho.
Great course BUT!!!
Great course but the amount of annual rye grass on the greens make them difficult to putt. I play this course often but this year the greens are very bumpy due to the rye grass. Otherwise still a great course!
Still a good course
Overall it's a good course. They still have a few holes that are cart path only for some reason. Half the greens are infested with a clumpy grass, not a grass connoisseur so I don't know which one. Maybe cost me 2 strokes.
Greens need some work but golf in Feb
Course was in ok shape except the tee boxes and greens. Fairways are firm and hard, greens have a lot of poa annua and are bouncy. Good deal for $25 but I’m not sure about the full weekend price. It is golf in Feb though.
Good not great
It was still not quite spring yet. With that being said the greens had a lot of poa annua. I have not played this course for over a year. It is usually in great shape by mid spring though.
Great course
One of my favorite courses in the area. Usually in great shape and a great layout. Really nice practice facilities.
Good Day for Golf
Warm January day in Texas. Greens were in good condition for winter golf. Fairways were starting to show some thinning due to being dormant. All AB’s all the course is in good condition.

There are two courses to play. They are different one links one traditional. Had guys in from out of town. We played two days each course. great area restaurants and plenty of places to stay. we chose local La Pamillia which is first class.
No better affordable guys vacation in the DFW region.
