White Hawk Country Club - Silver Hawk Nine
About
White Hawk Country Club boasts 36 holes of championship golf, which are divided into four different nines. The Grey Hawk and Black Hawk nines came first, followed by the Red Hawk and finally the Silver Hawk. The Silver Hawk nine is the longest of the four and it is also widely known as the toughest. The golf course incorporates a variety of landscapes from mature woodlands to pristine wetlands. Water has a prominent presence with seven large lakes and a few meandering creeks sprinkled throughout. You'll find that water hazards come into play on what seems like every hole. In addition to the water, the fairways are lined with trees and the green complexes have challenging ridges, tiers, and swales. It's easy to see how White Hawk is ranked as one of the top 10 toughest golf courses in the state.

Excellent facility!
Links style well kept course even after a week or more of no rain and high summer heat. 4 nines all slighty different. fairways and greens excellent shape. Greens fast but fair. GPS on cart a great touch and helped pace of play. Houses on holes on 3 of the 9's but set far back so as to be out of play. Multiple sets of tees so fair for all with good space between. Great clubhouse bar restaurant. Best value in greater Chicago area
White hawks Cart Path Only Day
Great course and friendly environment. Great bar and clubhouse. Only problem was cart path only on this course is brutal . Should realize what holes are just to far away from path and adjust the GPS carts to keep off all par 3’s and some 4’s but some how we’re completely dry to drive on but mile walk from cart path!
Watch out for additional $5 per golfer charged at course on a Hot Deal
Course was in great shape for beginning of November. Pace of play was slow however. Biggest disappointment was the additional $5 per golfer charged at the course when prepaying for a Hot-deal on Golfnow. Makes the Hot-deal Luke-warm. Argued to no avail at the course. Pretty underhanded for Whitehawk to implement the additional charge after you've already prepaid on Golfnow . Is Golfnow even aware of this? Very disappointed!
WhiteHawk Country Club.
Whether you're a serious golfer or simply looking for a great time on the course with family and friends, WhiteHawk exceeds all expectations. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a world-class golfing experience in Crown Point, Indiana.
Didn’t honor GolfNow Rate
Everything was ok except the course didn’t honor the rate I signed up for in the GolfNow app. I made the tee time for 2 @ $77/person plus the convenience fee of $4.98. When we checked in the golf pro charged $82/golfer. Since we didn’t pay through the app there was really nothing we could do except either pay or not play. Shouldn’t advertise a rate and then expect to pay something higher at the course when checking in.
Nice layout and course
Only a 4 star review due to lack of monitoring the course. Stuck behind a twosome with 1 set of clubs. They took multiple shots off the tee barely reaching 175 on there tee shots. They would then wait for the green to clear from 250. We caught them on a par 3 and asked them to pick up the pace. They did not and our round was just over 5 hours. The starter should have shut them down with 1 set of clubs. Our tee time was around 11 on Silver
Great Course
Great course for the money. One of the best in the area
Nice course.
Always in great shape. Good pace but never saw a ranger, just in case.
Blackhawk to Silverhawk
Course was in really good shape despite the current drought we're in. Greens were pretty quick but receptive. Pace of play was slower than normal, womens league was finishing up, so it only lasted for two holes after that smooth sailing. Always a good time at Whitehawk.
Silver Course
you want to make sure the rotation is black, red or grey !!!!! NOT SILVER if you book online the give you the Silver Course 9 holes in the rotation !!! Even the Pros wont play that 9 !!!! Most Jacked up 9 Holes I have ever seen & I have played from Colorado to the Bahams !!! Cheaper to call the Pro Shop & Book if you are a Senior !!!!!
White Hawk (Grey to Silver)
Yesterday I played White Hawk (Grey to Silver) with 3 other friends. I have played both nines previously this year and they are still in great shape. The greens rolled very nicely. The staff is always friendly and professional. Overall, the entire experience was great except for one instance. Before I go any further, I’m NOT going to say I will never be back because I will play here again. I always enjoy playing here no matter what nines I play. I know we live in a world of entitlement and when you have a membership to a course you want to play as much golf as possible. But when you cut in front of a group, when you clearly saw us and with two holes left to go, have the common sense and courtesy to play fast so you are not holding “regular” customers up. Yes, they were members because they have their own customized carts. I don’t expect the course to say anything to members because heaven forbid you hurt their feelings. It just ruined an otherwise great day. I will be back.
