Great outing
Very pleasant outing! Course was in great shape as greens and fairways were very well maintained. The best I have played on all year. I played the entire round at my own pace. Staff was very friendly and pleasant.
Nice course.
Nice layout. Course in nice shape. Carts have comprehensive GPS systems which are nice.
In my opinion, the course condition is the best of any courses open for public play in the Cedar Valley area.
The greens are perfect. They are very fast and it is difficult to find a flat putt anywhere, so give yourself some time on the [putting green to get their feel. There are tees for all ability and handicap levels, so don't lessen your fun by playing from the tees that fit best for you.
My only negative is that the sand in the bunkers does not meet the quality of the rest of the course.
Wow! Nice course.
Enjoyed the link style course with the rolling terrain and blind tee shots. Today the greens were rolling at a good pace.
The only bad impression I had was the sand trap had very course sand. I would consider them ground under repair.
All in all I would recommend this course as a top contender for the area courses.
Jordan
They had a women's college golf tournament in the morning we were unaware of. Round took 6+hours, the range was out of balls, and we had to wait for carts as they loaned them out to spectators (didn't hold any for paying guests). Course was in great shape, just ran into a bad day and wasn't handled the best. Had out of town friends in to play, wasn't a great experience.
Fun variety and good conditions
Good choice of tees to match the challenge to your skill. The semi-links style is a nice change of pace from most area courses. Good variety of hole layouts where you have risk/reward choices. Golf carts come with nice visual display GPS. Usually pace of play is pretty quick. Good value with GolfNow deals.
Nice, open course
Nice track. Greens a little rough. Far too May players fail to repairs ball marks. I was repairing 4-5 on nearly every green. Pace of play a little slow.
Outstanding staff and course. Excellent experience.
Excellent
First time played in August kind of busy. Played today by myself in less than 3 hours. Both times golfnow hotdeal. 25$ then 18$ today. 4 teeboxes for the men, greens today we're really good, fairways and tee boxes ideal. Great course for all handicaps. Worth the drive
Great round of golf...at an fantastic price!!
This is the second time that I have played this course in the past month. The first time I was there I went back to my home course and ranted and raved about how nice the course was. Was not disappointed the second time that I played either, especially since I was able to secure a tee time that was the Hot Deal for the day..$14/person to play a great course!!
Unbelievable value!!
Got an amazing deal on GolfNow to play this course for $10 including cart!! For reference, I was playing the local public courses in the area for $40+ and this course blows them away. Love the links-style layout, the greens are outstanding, and it's just a fun course with a fair amount of variation and extremely well maintained. I highly recommend it for anyone in the Waverly, IA area.
Great course!
Prairie Links is a hidden gem in northeast Iowa. It has multiple sets of tees, so it is adaptable to all playing levels. The greens are large and roll nicely as well. If you like a links style course, you won't be disappointed. Once you play it, you'll want to return.
Course was in excellent condition.
We found the course to be a lot of fun....very good condition and a very friendly and courteous staff.
We will be back!!
Nice course
Nice sub division course. It's pretty with all the prairie grass areas. I have been wanting to play it for years. Wide open, but lots of right angled doglegs and blind shots. Leave the driver in the bag; it's only needed for two, three holes at the most. I look forward to playing it again now that I know the layout.
Super fun
Prairie Links ia a very fun and challenging golf coarse. First, it was my first time to play there, and I luckily played with people who were familiar with the layout, as this accelerated learning the layout and necessary shot placements. This coarse is challenging, as shot placement is very important not only off the tee but into the greens. The greens were in impeccable condition, but we're fast and undulating, making those approach shots even more important. Overall, the coarse is challenging and very fun, definitely will go back for some more!
