About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 09/2019.
Hidden Oaks opened in 1998 and has gained a solid reputation due to its well-maintained conditions. Rex Worrel’s 6,443-yard layout plays to the traditional par 72, offering generous, plush fairways and large, firm greens that roll true. And while there are a good amount of mature trees at Hidden Oaks, the struggling golfer will appreciate the frequency of open shots and the overall generous feel to the course.
No. 7 is the number one handicap. A 542-yarder from the tips, it’s sandwiched between two relatively easy par 3s and is followed on No. 9 by a welcoming 472-yard par 5. The back side is inviting as well, offering short par 3s and average length par 4s. In fact, the most difficult rated hole on the back is the 479-yard No. 17, which happens to be a par 5.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 377 south to Hwy. 167. In town, turn left on Granbury Road and find Meander Road. Turn right, drive to Hideaway Bay Court Road, and turn left to the course (on the left).

Afternoon on a hot day
Course was adequate and laid out OK. Fairways were not green, but the ball sure rolled far. The greens were the worst part of the course. They were rough and the ball would not run true.
Interesting course
Nice friendly staff, course could be in better shape. Fairways are poor and greens bumpy. Has some interesting holes, but generally fairly easy layout.
A good value with a hot deal from Golf Now.
Friendly people
Course is dried out. Around the greens it is o.k. Greens were well watered but slow. The staff is friendly.
Not worth the drive
Read reviews before i went to play here and they must have been from someones imagination. This is one of the worst places i have played in years ,I have seen better grass in peoples yards on my street and was like i was playing on a goat farm out in the country there was so little grass in the fairways.Greens were ok but not as good as the reviews said, slow and bumpy. My recommendation don't waste your time if your over 15 minutes from this course not worth the drive.
Greens real good...unlike my golf
This course used to be one our regulars. Fall of 2017 and winter of 2018 proved to be rough on the course conditions. It is getting back into very good shape. Fairways are getting a lot better and greens already looking and feeling good.
Once again, it has become one of our regulars.
Hidden Oak Golf Course
Course is further than I would have liked. Little difficult to find, not too many vehicles in parking lot. Played by self, caught up to threesome on 3, they allowed me to play through. Was confused about where next hole was at, they gave me directions on location of next hole. Caught up to foursome on back nine, seems they were playing some kind of best ball game, did not offer to allow me to play through. Allowing me to play through would have cut at least 50-60 minutes from the round.
Good looking course, but definitely will not return.
Condition of course alot better
Had been several months since last played. Course in much better condition. Greens in very good shape. Glad to see this course back on GolfNow. Always enjoyed the layout, but had been in questionable condition last few times I played.
Course in good ahape
1st time playing course. Greens are in better shape than most courses around. I will be back for Saturday games. .We had s good time .
Not a great value
Was not what I expected, was more a a pasture golf style atmosphere! But liked the day playing regardless.
Good course, needs better maintence
This course has some nice features, but there is very little time put into the cosmetics. It could be much better with a little work
Cheap golf
Cheap golf. Fairways had lots of weeds. Greens a bit fuzzy. Not a lot off trouble outside of fairways. Don't pay more that $20 to play course
Nice course
2nd time I've golfed here on a weekend day and never busy. Course is rough around the edges but fairways in good condition. Greens in great condition, not fast but not slow.
Top notch greens
Great greens!! The ball had a true roll and read to every hole. There was not a bad spot on any green. Good mix of pin placements.
Course was manicured well despite recent heavy rainfall in the area.
Little rough around the edges
Greens fair, fairway rough and weedy, nice course to practice on but not match play.
Nice course for the money.
Played this course for the first time in the dead of winter and was very pleased. Greens were very fast but the pro in the clubhouse warned us. Can't wait to come back and play this course when it starts to warm up and get green.
