People were meh
Guy at front desk was nice. Course in decent shape but place seems poorly run on thr club side. Score card needs updated. Clu house was a shambles.
Has potential to be great
Great Course, Bad Owner
I've played this course for well over a decade and it could be a true gem if it weren't for the fact that the ownership never puts money into it. The parking lot is a mess, the golf carts are awful and there are no amenities. Despite the ownerships lack of knowledge about golf course management, the grounds crew does a pretty good job of keeping it playable without having many of the resources required to do so. I'd recommend trying the course if you never have but until someone comes in and takes care of the place it will simply remain an okay course.
Must be early in the season
Get the H2O, and ball washers out on the course. Food at the “turn” below par. Half the traps were not raked. You have a High School across the street, hire some help.
Fantastic course!
What a great round of golf we enjoyed!!The front desk gentleman was the nicest person ever. He gave us some great pointers to enjoy our round. Course was challenging & in great condition! Gorgeous rolling hills, challenges & scenery. Highly recommended to play for sure!!!
Course was in great condition
This will now be a top first choice for me. Hidden treasure. I was pleasantly surprised how the course was set up and the greens were in great condition. Greens were fast but ball rolled true. Fairways were cut and clear of debris and with ask the rain we have had the course was dry
Disappointed
Was a bit disappointed with the overall condition of this course. I know it’s late March, but I only saw one maintenance person around and he was cutting the rough. The sand traps were a mess and there were plenty of sticks scattered around as well. We had to dry off the cart seats and the cart paths are in rough shape.
KS Duffer
Play it several times a year when in MD. Course is struggling for maintenance funds as it is slipping away from superb jewel former status to a just OK place to play over past 15 yrs. Great bones and setup for the course, needs some long term $$$ TLC.
Greens great shape and fast, most fairways clean from winter debris, course is in spring wakeup mode.
winter golf
I had an Exotic round. Golfing at a surrounding snow was very rare. It would remain in my memory forever.
I like to play a full round of golf. I was not told we would be chased off of the course due to the carts needing to be back at the clubhouse by 5:00. It was light until 6:00-6:15 and it was warm. We could have easily enjoyed the last 3-4 holes but the staff scolded us for being out there at 5:10…. And again, that was with not one previous mention of the deadline. I would not have booked the 1:45 Tee time if I would have known.
Golf now let me down
Booked online get to the course to find out it’s closed golf now needs to do better with communication with the course
Great layout decent condition great value
Played on Friday mid morning. The layout is quite challenging with undulating greens, tree-lined fairways, and meaningful ups and downs. The meilting snow and rain previous night made the course very wet. The greens are on the slow side understandably, some spots on the course are too wet to play, and bunkers are too packed to play fairly, but overall course condition is much better than we expected. Some tee boxes need more work to remove bald spots, and cart path potholes need patches. The clubhouse is well maintained, and the food choices are decent. Staff is very friendly, and pace is good for our round. Overall a great experience,, highly recommended.
Great value but room to improve
For a 40$ round I'm not here to complain about course conditions, compared to northern va with 120 green fees for munis it matches the price. But while playing from the back tees there are multiple holes with serious overgrown tree issues that force shot shapes but not in an ideal course layout way.
Good course !
Everything is good but watering too much at fairway !
