An accurate tee shot from the towering tee above the par-4 5th leaves you this short but challenging approach. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The 2nd hole and adjacent 17th are both longish uphill par-4s that are nearly mirror images. Par is a good score on either. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Not a lot of flat lies in the landing zone on the par-4 12th, making the approach that much tougher. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-4 14th is the first time you encounter a water hazard on this course, a nice reprieve. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

THe par-3 15th also has water in view, giving you back-to-back opportunities to lose your lucky Noodle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-5 18th is just a super cool golf hole. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Below expectations
Started behind two slow groups and had to pass eventually.
Not a good course to play as a single. I try to play on off hours when courses wont be busy but even on a Tuesday afternoon this place was backed up.
The course looks great but the fairways were soft (over watered) and a couple tee shots plugged into the ground. Other shots would have zero roll out and leave pitch marks in the fairway.
Driving range is nice but it was "mats only." Chipping area looks sad and isnt manicured. The practice putting green is kind of silly as it has way more undulation than any green on the course.
All in all this place does not meet five star golf course expectations.
Not Back But Better
Was pleased to learn Blue Mash and Waverly Woods have been absorbed by Whiskey Creek and are adjusting their product and service delivery to be consistent with the majority. Should be a mutually productive and beneficial merger.
Need another bottle of this stuff
Best course by far in the area that we play which is about 70 minute circle around Bunkerhill WV. Would highly recomend this course.
Beautful course. Great condition
I play at a local club. Whiskey creek is in great shape. Enjoy it everytime i get out there
Greens were tough
Amateur-sized rating from this guy. In general, the course was well groomed. No ground under repair stakes or tee boxes bowing like the edge of a ship. However the greens were extremely difficult. Super fast as if they were glass. This made it a frustrating round and unfortunately made me reconsider paying the green fees again in the future.
Amazing conditions!
Amazing condition. Fast and pure greens. I don’t like paying $100 for a weekday round but this place earned it.
It’s all that
Whiskey Creek exceeded my high expectations.
Can’t wait to return!
Pace of Play Needs Serious ATTENTION!
First of all. I’ve been playing Whiskey ever since they opened the door to the public back in early 2000. I understand the game have gotten popular over the years (especially since post covid), but lately pace of play have become a serious issue out there. The Marshal is driving and really not enforcing the pace of play (I seriously think it’s because the course is afraid of upsetting its customers or possibly even losing them if they were to do that)
.. anyhow, this happen to us again, it’s middle of the week and we were waiting on Every Hole! .. and all we heard from the Marshal was ‘thanks for coming out’ ..please do something about this because we’re running out of patience.. we really appreciate if you can 👍
Unfair pins
Was disappointed with the pin placements on recently aerated and dressed greens. Most greens are rolling or two tiered and on this day very very fast from the lack of grass. Pin placements should’ve been in more of the easier locations instead of on the edge of a slope or just a few paces from a false front. Also many of the tee boxes were under repair or being reseeded. I had spoke to the pro shop the day before our arrival and nothing of this was disclosed. Staff was very friendly, but I feel the value of play was not present.
