Eagle Trace Golf Club
About
The course at Eagle Trace Golf Club is one of several in Colorado that were designed by architect Richard Phelps. Views of the Rockies and splendid Cottonwoods sprinkled across the course make it an enjoyable game. Five lakes and over sixty bunkers add some challenging elements to the course. Located in Broomfield, the golf course is 6,529 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Eagle Trace Golf Club also offers teeboxes specifically made for children. They also have a junior golf program for kids under 10.

A good time!
I booked this round on Golf Now with no knowledge of the course. It is a nice, very mature course, that winds through a subdivision, though the homes rarely come into play. It is wide, fairly flat and would be a great course for those who like to walk. There is quite a bit of water. The sand traps were not well maintained, hard and crusty, you will not to rake them because you will rarely leave a footprint! The pace was a bit slow but not aggravatingly so. Overall a pleasant round. If it wasn't so far from my home (63 miles), I would play there often. Enjoy!
Nice course
I found this course to be very nice and a bit challenging for a player of my caliber. I look forward to returning.
Great value for the money using Golf Now
Third time I have played the course. The course conditions have improved each time I have come out to play the course. Will play again.
Just OK
I drove a hr from Littleton to play a new course and chose this one. Course was just ok, the facilities were not too good but overall it was a decent course. Not worth 42.00 but at 30.00 a good value
This course was being aerated
I had to play the back 9 twice as the front nine was being aerated. The 9 I played was in decent shape; the greens rolled well.
The course and golf now should indicate to the golf now members when a course is undergoing aeration before they book the tee time. I had to drive over an hour to the course to be disappointed.
Greens were in great shape
Course was in great shape for April! Clubhouse was closed though so wasn't to happy about that
Golf in January
I have been playing Eagle at eave for 15 plus years. Our round was great. Some less experienced golfers let us play through and we were done in 3 1/2 hours. Great course for first round of year .
poor golf ecperience
It took us three hours and forty five minutes to complete 9 holes. Pace of play was horrid and when I asked for a nine hole credit due to the extremely slow pace the request wasn't at all considered. We had a terrible golf ecperience.
cart path only?
Great day for end of November . Crowded but pace of play was fine. A drag having cart path only; not sure why. Wish I would have walked but a fun day overall and course in decent shape for this late in season.
aggravation
The course played well but it was very slow this day.
We were two groups behind a group that had a drunk in a cart by himself. Don't know how much he had to drink before he got on the course but we witnessed him down 2 beers on #2 tee box and one every hole there after. By the time we reached hole #9 we timed him putting his driver in the bag. Took 31 seconds, he set for 1 minute and 10 seconds before he moved forward from there. Drove very slow and safe, spent almost 2 minutes to get out of the cart to pick up his ball, another 40 seconds to get back in the cart, set for another 2 minutes before moving forward. This was typical of the way he moved through all 8 holes that we followed him. The guys he was playing with went on and left him behind. We lost him in the parking lot (thank god). We can normally play (twosome) this course in about 3 hours and 14 minutes. Took us 4 hours and 35 minutes on this day. Did not have the opportunity to address a marshall about the situation (only saw him twice in the 18 hole round) Very frustrating for all of use following the drunk. But we had a good laugh with the 3 groups of us while we stood and waited for this guy to get out of the way.
Nice greens and fairways
It is a great course to play I will definitely play this course again and recommend everyone to play this course the only thing I feel is they need to give you more information on every hole preferably on the scorecards
Compact course
The layout of the course was tight, and hole # 6 should be played as a par 4 and the tees moved forward as players teeing off #5 endangered players moving off the #5 green toward the tee box for #6. The sand in the bunkers was compacted on most holes.
Good Muni
A good muni track, especially if you can get a deal. We only played 12 holes due to a severe rainstorm this time and could not get a rain check for 9 or any type of credit from the course or golfnow. So that was a disappointment considering it takes me almost an hour to drive there.
Meh....
Overall, it's not bad. The course is in decent shape, greens are pretty good. Tees and fairways weren't bad. I never found a bunker, but my playing partner hit out of one and said there was no sand in there.
A few interesting holes, but they can't do too much with what they've got to work with. It's just too short for today's game.
At $45 in GolfNow, it's a pretty good deal, so I'd go back. It just wouldn't be my first choice.
Very nice course in Broomfield.
I'm a fairly new golfer so this course was a challenge for me. The rate of play was great that day but since then I've made another visit that was very slow. I just skipped hole 10 that day because I was put on right behind 2 walkers and I was riding. The play was great though and the course was in great condition. The 18th hole is a challenge as it requires driving over a pond or around it, and has a very narrow entrance to the green with water on both sides.
I felt it was a little awkward signing in at the bar each time since the pro shop was closed each time.
this is a pleasant course play
The course was not dry as in past times. Holes 5 and
should be arranged to have players tie off on hole 5
then tie off on six to save time and for safety reasons
then finish playing 5 then continue on to play 2nd
shots on six.
Nice fall course.
No waiting, course in good shape. No crowds in fall. Price is reasonable.
Enjoyed
The course was fun to play. Fairways and greens in good shape. Very quiet and the scenery was very relaxing to play in. A fun, fast and relaxing day
