This course has a lot of character.
This is the second time we've played Deer Track golf course. We were a little late for our tee time due to traffic. However, the staff were very accommodating and got us on the course as soon as possible. The course has some very interesting holes especially on the back nine. All in all the course has a lot of character and is well maintained and the staff are very friendly.
Good Time
Really enjoyed the afternoon playing at Deer Creek. They keep the course well maintained. I just wish I had time to play there more.
Great course layout
This course is very well maintained, and is a very challenging course depending on the tees you choose. Greens are quick and challenging. Great course for the price.
All around great golf course.
Deer track golf course is one of if not my favorite course to play. The greens are always manicured and the fairways are always defined. Some holes are difficult where as some are more challenging. And the price can't be beat. And if you see the owner, who is always around on the course doing various chores he will always make time to see how your game is going. Always friendly and chatty.
That is why this course is probably my favorite in the area.
Thanks Deer Track.

Awesome course between Lafayette and Indy
Deer Track is pretty challenging course. It has one of the best natural layouts that you will find in the area. Not a lot of flat lies and some tight fairways. Lots of water, including an island green on the 18th hole.
Great course
Very challenging course, one of the best around. Might just be my new favorite course around Lafayette.
Hidden Gem between Frankfort and Mulberry
I played this course a couple times back in high school when it was fairly new and it seemed like they struggled with the upkeep of the course. But when the new owners bought the course several years ago they put in a lot of work and effort to get the course back into peak condition. The course today is amazing It is always in perfect shape and the layout is extremely challenging. For the cost and the course you get to play. I don't see many courses giving you a better deal. If you haven't played it yet. You should make it a point to visit Deer Track and see what you're missing out on
Sweet spot of I65
What a wonderful course!! very challenging (especially the Par 3s) and the island green on 18 was a great way to end. Played twice the past week (had to go to Louisville for the week). The staff was great and the price was EXTREMELY reasonable. The weather was cool and pretty windy, so not too many on course so cannot comment on speed of play. Will definitely play here again!
Awesome course between Indy and Lafayette
I've played Deer Track several times and it is a great experience every time. The course has one of the best natural layouts of any course you will find. Provides lots of challenges and there are a ton of different ways to play shots here. There is something for golfers of all ages as the have junior, women's, senior's, men's white, men's blue tees. The staff is super friendly and the owners are very down to earth people.
Always in fantastic shape, as it has some of the best greens the area has to offer. Many scenic tee shots (4, 9, 12, 15, 17)....and the 18th hole has an island green which is always an exciting way to finish a round of golf.
The value is the real seller here. I feel like the course is on par with many $40-$50/rd courses but Deer Track is $10-$20 less expensive! Also a great place for outings....
Play it once and you'll be back again and again...
Deer Track
I last played this course 12 years ago. The course has matured beautifully and is definitely worth playing for all skill levels. If you enjoy a well manicured, aesthetically pleasing golf challenge, this course is worthy of your time.
Course in great shape for this time of year
Played this course for 15 years and its been in great shape all season. Great bargain for $20 fall rate. The owner takes a lot of pride in the course and that shows. Greens are the best you will see anywhere near this price point. Buy extra balls because you will find the woods if you've never been, this course is no cupcake.
Beautiful Course for A Perfect Fall Round
I live close enough to Deer Track to be able to play it a few times a month. I love the course as it is situated on.a beautiful piece of land with rolling terrain, creeks, woods, and ponds. Each hole presents a fun challenge and I enjoy my round each time I play. The owners are extremely friendly and really wonderful people. I recommend this course to anyone who loves nature and of course, golf!
Very nice course beautiful
The price was awesome and the course was challenging and in great condition.
Well kept course but owner lacks professionalism
Course is in great shape and owner has lots of pride in keeping it that way. Lots of long fairways with some tough tee box shots on the front 9. Overall a good value for the money. Support staff at the pro shop were cordial and professional. Love the tips given on the tee box signs on how to best play the hole.
Owner seems like a friendly and hardworking guy. However, the two times we have played he has been seen driving around the first tee box asking people if they had paid. Not the most polite or classiest way to conduct business. We also got rained out after finishing the 6th hole. Instead of giving us a rain check for another 18 we were only comped for a future 9. Not a huge deal but in my opinion that is a tacky and unprofessional way to conduct business on a golf course. Not sure I would return with other similar quality options in the area.
Will play again!
The course is on a beautiful piece of land with trees, water with well kept greens and fairways and a friendly staff and owner. Also has a nice deck for drinks and a snack after golf. We frequently found ourselves commenting how nice the course was and wishing it was a little closer to home. A great value - we have already invited more friends to play here.
Love Deer Track
If you haven't been here in a few years give it a try the new (2008) owners are great and have improved the course. This place is out of the way but worth the drive. Very scenic with woods and rolling terrain. Only two sand traps and they are letting them grow over I wish they would keep them and add sand. Greens are always good tee boxes and fairways have improved. Many overhanging trees have been removed and makes this an easier course than previous years............a good thing. This is a challenging course. Pace of play is almost always very good and people are very friendly. As they say it is your club in the country. There are also orange "tee boxes" in the fairways for kids to try the game and they have family night on Sundays. This is a challenging course to walk or if you like to get your exercise may be just what you are looking for.
A real nice courses
Recommend this course to anyone and I like the way this course is laid out and all it's features
Beautiful course with scenic views !!
LOVE the course. Somewhat challenging due to hills and use of landscaping / forest. Carts are outdated but the course fairways and greens were as nice as I ever played at any price !! Staff was Very pleasant and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs and this carried over to their attitude towards customers !!
Average but a good value.
This is an average course. Fairways are really tight and there is a lot of contour to them. Level lies are rare. Greens are in good shape. Tee boxes need work. Deep thick woods border several holes. You will lose golf ball here. The finishing 18th Hole is the best finishing hole around.
