We love this course. We enjoy coming here!!!!!
The staff is very friendly and we thoroughly enjoy
the course.
Great course great price
Total blast i can compare this to ackermann at purdue not as good as coyote but great really great for the price played and the condition maintained
Very challenging for me. Especially reading greens
First time I played there. Wish it was closer so I could play it often. One of the best laid out courses I have played.
Great Experience
This was my first time at Deer Track and I wasn't expecting too much. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. I was looking to play a quick round and I figured this course wouldn't be too busy. I was very surprised at the condition of the course. The greens are well kept and were REALLY fast. They are not too difficult in terms of undulation, but you want to be below the hole. This course will make you play every club in your bag. There are long par 3s and 4s, doglegs in both directions, etc. Elevated tee boxes and fairways, make you think about your yardage. There are some intimidating tee shots, including the first hole, in which you have to hit driver because of the length of the hole, but have to fit it into a tight space. The front is definitely harder than the back where it opens up a bit. The last hole is a true island green. So, your first shot is difficult and so is the last :).
Very Enjoyable.
New guy
First time playing this course. It was fun and challenging. The clover just off the fairway may it very difficult to find your ball; added level of difficulty.
Not as special as advertised.
The good deal(in theory) was $10 for 18 holes. When we got to the course they said that was for 9 holes and didn't include the cart(and additional $13). I assumed it was $10 total(I signed up for 18 holes) and the cart was included as well(it wasn't). This $10 deal cost me $28 total(so I am not impressed with this). Called the GolfNow folks and the said it was supposed to be for 9 holes(though not listed in the add). Overall a big disappointment in the Golfnow advertisement. I'm not sure I'll bother with their site again.
The course was challenging if you had not played before as several blind tee shots and very big greens with 3 putt territory an often occurrence.
I really enjoyed the challenge and the final hole to an island green is a brilliant finishing hole. I will return.
A fine walk in the country
It was a lovely day, but few others were on the course! Despite the harsh weather for weeks, the greens and fairways were in good shape. The sounds of summer were there without any road noise.
Home Town Golf Course
This is a great golf course to play! Ken the owner, and Amy, who works in the golf shop, are two of the nicest people around! I play this course at least once a week and it's always beautiful. I would recommend this course to anyone. Love hole #18. This is truly a great course and well worth the money to play!
friendly staff great course.
course was in pristine condition.
staffs were friendly.
greens were quite fast.
i would pick coyote, deer track and kampen as top 3 course around this area.
The course is very well maintained!
The course was in GREAT shape, staff was very friendly. This course is worth the 30 minute drive from the NW fringe of Indianapolis anytime. I have already recommended it to a few of my buddies w/o club memberships!
Tight with some hills and trees
Fun golf course, a few tight holes with some hills and trees. Greens are in good shape, good course for the money.
Great Track for the Money
This was a surprisingly nice course hidden in the corn fields of Frankfort,IN. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful upon my arrival. The front 9 is tightly tree lined with a surprising number of elevation changes and rolling fairways. The greens roll nicely but are a little slower than what I am used to putting on. That's not to say they aren't in great shape. The back 9 is more open and forgiving than the front. There are 2 par 3's that are blind downhill shots from the blue tees that are very interesting. I enjoyed this course a lot and thought it was an amazing value for the Hot Deal I found.
Not super diverse, but a nice course
Not super diverse, but a nice course. Challenging blind drives and decisions to drive over or short of water.
The course is great and green is challenging!
The staff was very kind and nice.
The course is great and green is challenging!
Deer Track
Course was in very good shape. Round took less than 4 hours and that was with a small tourney on one side.
The rough was super long and made the round take much longer than normal. People at the course were very friendly. Nice lay out; needs some TLC.
Rough: Too long (not course owners fault, weathers fault).
Greens: A little slow, but decent.
Lay out: Super.
Value: B+
It's a keeper.
Challenging layout.
This is a great course for the money. There are several challenging holes including an island green on 18.
Great value
After 4" of rain play conditions were very reasonable. Best improvement the course could use is the addition of more sand traps.
