Great course
The staff was very friendly. The course was in great condition. The carts have gps using an iPad so every hole was very easy to navigate. I play all over northeast Indiana each summer and this one of the nicest courses and most challenging course in the area. Just a personal vice. The carts are equipped with sensors that don't allow them to operate or operate at very small fraction of power when within the zone near the green (no cart area). This is a very nice touch and a good way to keep the approaches nice. The only caveat is that these zones can be very large. We found some up to 60 yards away from the green. so my only warning is if you cannot or have trouble logging a lot of walking steps this may not be the course for you.
Great day on the course
Friendly staff throughout. Course was in terrific shape for late April. Free driving range for warming up. Plenty of space between tee times. Look forward to playing again
Two Words: Fun and Challenging
This course will make you think and use every club out of you bag. A ton of fun to play!
great fall round
got a great hot deals rate for my wife and I. It was not a busy day so we played at a nice pace. Fall colors were wonderful. The Greens had been aerated/sanded two weeks prior so not super fast but they rolled at a nice speed and held true to the line. It was a windy day but pleasant. Course lay out and conditions were very good and I'm not one to grade high. I would go back again without hesitation. Cart GPS was state of the art. Good burger called in at the turn tasted great. I think you would enjoy this course.
Glendarin Golf Course
They have the fastest greens , that I have ever played any place in the U.S.
Beautiful Day - Beautiful Course
It was a great summer day at a great course. This course is not for an amatuer golfer. The course was well groomed and the greens very fast. The concrete cart pats are especially nice to ride on. The course was relatively quiet this particular day so we were not rushed and able to thoroughly enjoy our round. It helps if you keep your ball in the fairway so you do not get eaten by the mosquitoes near the woods and swamps. Of course, this is my personal problem - LOL! We saw deer and turkeys throughout the course.
Poor Golf etiquette
Nice course and friendly staff but we were two and ran into a foursome that wouldn't let us through and pace was very slow with a two behind us hitting into us as well. This has happened twice here. Probably will not play here again due to poor Golf etiquette
August 22nd 2016
I took a customer to play Glendarin Hills and the course was in great condition. I have played there a couple of times in the past and have been impressed with the overall experience every time.
The greens were not quite as fast as I remembered, but were undulated on interesting.
One great thing about this course is the way it is designed you generally don't see other golfers, so as long as you play at a reasonable pace, it is very relaxing and a beautiful course.
Thr staff is always friendly and helpful, I would recommend this as a place to play to anyone and do regularly.
Top notch!
Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Course is great fun. Tough but fair. Makes you think before you choose a club. Best course on my 5 day golf trip from KY. I wish I had played this one twice instead of going to Lake James golf course on last day. Total class act! Thanks guys, I'll make another trip in the future just to play this course.
excellent
This is a beauty.
Found this course by luck of the draw. Score was bad but that's on me. Real nice layout. Wish I lived closer, but I'll be back to improve my average on score.
Glendarin - Best course in Northeast Indiana.
I've played pretty much all the golf courses in Northeast Indiana over 40 years and by far, Glendarin is the best for the money in public golf courses. Beautifully designed - you have to think about every shot and use every club in your bag. I love it. You can also see wild turkeys and deer as you're driving between the green and the next tee. The majority of the layout is rolling hills and woods and is kept natural. The staff are very friendly and helpful also.
Another Great Day at Glendarin
Played here for the umpteenth time. One of the best in Northern Indiana.
Great Golf
Excellent course, tough but fair. Excellent layout/condition, friendly staff
Tough course
It is worth the trip a very tough course. Lots of bunkers and some force carries. Lots of slope to the greens and very fast.
9 out of 10
Every aspect of this course is top notch. Very well maintained. Friendly and professional pro shop staff. Pro shop has everything you could need especially if you forget something for your round. Greens are on the fast side but oh so "true" and manageable. Only compliant was on the turn we asked in the Clubhouse they had on draft for when our round was done. We were expected to be finishing around 6p on a Monday. We were told the bar probably wouldn't still be open because their weren't any tee times scheduled. The Clubhouse is beautiful with an amazing view of both 9 and 18 greens. We would have loved to linger after our round but it wasn't an option. Too Bad!!!
excellent course
excellent course . perfect shape.
challenging around green with chips as greens are very fast. If you are on the short side of flag , you will have quite a challenge keeping it within 10 ft of hole on your chip
Awesome Course
This course is a great value at the full weekend cart rate, which is saying something as it is not a cheap greens fee. At the GolfNow rate I played in the afternoon, I almost felt bad playing this course for what little I paid.
The course is fabulous. The greens run fast and true. There is literally nothing bad to say about this course in the now 2 trips I have made around it. Bunkers, fairways, greens, tee boxes...all great. Oh, and the driving range? That's included in your fee.
If you're passing through Angola, play this course. If you're from Fort Wayne, it is well worth the trip up north.
PS - For those walkers, this course isn't very suited to you. There are some good amounts of ups and downs, as well as some lengthy traverses from hole to hole. So grab the cart and enjoy the fabulous GPS system.
First Class
Everything about this course was impressive. The course was in excellent shape. The GPS units in the carts is a great bonus. Food in the restaurant was also very good. The average golfer will find this very challenging but I would recommend playing.
Great layout
A course that you can play over and over. Greens were aerated and top dressed. October golf.
