the course was in great shape we went out before a tournament that day the greens was a little slow but was expected in hot weather was a little slow at the start but picked up pretty quick overall a great day
I have enjoyed playing Cambridge since it opened. Course is well manicured with plush fairways and tee boxes. The greens are in great shape but tend to be a tad slow. The one thing that is a negative for me is the thick heather areas of the rough. While I realize you should keep the ball in the fairways, the heather makes it nearly impossible to find or play your ball. The result is a slower pace of play with some novice and/or inconsiderate players tromping around in the thick rough looking for a ball. for 5 - 10 minutes. If you happen to be in a group trailing 2 or 3 groups that are exhibiting this behavior, you will be lucky to finish faster than 4 1/2 hours. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Specifically, I would single out Shane as an excellent ambassador for the course. He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The dining area is very nice and with good staff and good food. Banquet area is a comfortable area with round tables that make it easy for conversation with 6 - 8 people.
Considering the amount of water they have dealt with course in great shape
Course is great. It rained a little the first 9 but cleared up for the back nine. They have finally added sand to their bunkers. If they would only have the snack bar open at the turn when they have the course open it would be fantastic!
Schedule their new Golf Now tee times during the courses golf scrambles. No possible way to enjoy a round when twice have I had to wait 20 minutes for each hole as I wait behind a foursome playing! Staff wouldnt let us playing ahead or come in 24 hours later when course isnt scramble busy

There’s a reason the Golf Now Deals are discounted. I’ve found paying the full price and booking times early in front of the events is better for me. Discount is nice, but pace is more important to me. I understand they need to make money and something has to give. For me it’s either discounts or pace.
Great play... as always!
With the threat of bad weather, there were very few players on the course. Even though the greens were recently aerated, they were still in really good shape for this time of year. Always enjoy playing here!
Nice layout; early in season and in rough shape
We had to be on cart paths only, which was needed as it was very wet in fairways. The traps seemed to have had on maintenance. The greens, which are already tricky, were rough as still suffering from last seasons aerating. It is a real mix of difficult and fairly easy holes. The layout gives many chances for risk/reward shots which I find fun.
First time playing this course... and honestly I was a little disappointed. I have played numerous Tim Liddy designs and expected Cambridge to be along those lines (Harrison Hills-Attica, IN), sadly it was not.
The overall condition of the golf course was poor to fair- I understand it’s early Spring but it appears there has been little if any maintenance to the course since last season. They obviously have more golf course than they can possibly handle!! I couldn’t tell if they were putting in sandtraps or trying to take them out.
The layout of the course incorporates numorous lakes which made my first round very interesting.
Now about pace— which I’ve read nothing but bad things about on Golf Advisor— I was behind a 4 some of ladies, 2 walking & 2 riding. I followed for 3 holes and after never being offered to play thru, I skipped around them on number 8; I was on hole 12 by the time they even got to the #9 green. That is just rude!
I will probably be back, but it’s def NOT a course I would go out of my way to play. I have no issues driving 2+ hours to play nice golf courses, unfortunately this isn’t one of them.
Did play for $13 on a Hot Deal so that was a positive.
Best Public Course in Evansville
Even for “winter” conditions, the greens were in great shape. The course was wet but didn’t effect the playability at all. Great staff and a great course.
Tough Course, A lot of fjn
Great conditions, great everything to be honest. Challenging, but a lot of fun.
Course was in good shape considering the amount of water they have dealt with.
Great condition for December
Greens are a little slow. But very good course conditions.

Hands down, the best public course in the Evansville area. Links course so it’s usually windy. Staff are accommodating. Grounds crew do a great job. Events area pretty much have wedding bookings every weekend in the summer. Large men’s club requires 3 tee times. Also match play available.
Great Track! A must play!
I love this course! It's challenging and gorgeous! When the wind blows, it's pretty tough. A must play for anyone in the area.
Cambridge 5 Star course!
Great staff and well maintained course, love playing there!
