Not bad
I'm a beginner and felt that this course was well suited for my son and myself. Nothing is fancy...but it's a decent course.
Your shots matter
Nice older track that makes me think of 60s 70s era. The course could be better, but well keep and has a challenge of several water features that love balls.
The first hole has a creek right at the average golfer's max driver distance so beware.
If you play 18 remember whites for the 1st nine and blues on the back.
Good Value
Course was in good condition and has a lot of potential. Great place for beginners and intermediate players. Greens are large and overall good conditions. The rough needs to be mowed. Sand traps need TLC
Awful
Terrible course, poorly maintained and drag strip noise is a distraction that plays in several holes.
Never again.
I know it was cheap, but even for $16 this course isn't worth the money. Pace of play is terrible, they let walk ups on without any sense of order. There is no Marshall anywhere, and it's just a 9 hole track you play back to back so the 2nd time around is even worse. We ended up leaving after 12 holes (which I have never done on a golf course before no matter how bad it has been, I just love to play) because we were 4.5 hours in and the course was terrible.
Not to mention the course was just a field they had mown down, clovers everywhere, and you couldn't tell the difference between the fairway and rough. The greens had several different types of grass on them and were so bumpy it was humorous.
It's in a bad part of town too. So you don't feel confident leaving your car in the parking lot.
If someone would put some money into this course it's got potential. But I can say I will never be back, even if it was free. This is the worst golf course I have ever played.
Disapointment
Even though a fee for playing is so cheep this course need to improve its course condition for golfers to come back.
You get what you pay for
If your looking for a cheap course to just knock around a golf ball, then this is your course. Their isn't any difference between the fair way and the rough. The green are just as rough with dirt patches mixed in here and there.
Cow Pasture
This course is a cow pasture. It may be good for beginners on a budget, but I was very disappointed.
Slow play
Course was good but players very slow play, pass a foursome up would, not let us play thru skip a hole to get in front of them then caught up with a two some hitting 3 balls each off tee box very sad
quick round
great place to go practice. Family owned since beginning of time...LOL. Basic 9 hole course...nothing fancy. Fairways and tees are mostly common bermuda and decent. Greens are in pretty good shape though a tad slower than other area greens...but smooth. Perfect place to take a new golfer as the prices won't kill you and they will not lose a ton of balls.
Great value, and fun course!
This is a great 9-hole course that can be played twice for a full 18. Fairways and greens were in great condition. Just a fun course to play all the way around. Some challenges along the way, like some well-placed water hazards, to keep the better golfers interested.
Staff was very friendly. Pace of play was great. No golf snob mentality at this place, from staff or patrons. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Great Value
This is a 9-hole that you play twice for 18, but you can't beat the value. It's a fun course, and well kept except for 1 green. It has a number of water/woods challenges, but not too much. I would definitely recommend this course for the casual golfer.
Sunset
Everything about Sunset is pretty good. Played there before and will play there again.
9 hole twice
Course is great. Played before and will play again.
Good Times
It was a good day to golf, the weather was great other than been a little wet, but over all was a good day to golf
Sunset
I like the course but they ran out of carts which slowed down pace and tee box was way too hard.
BEST COURSE FOR YOU MONEY
This course is good for you money if you're just want to practice.
Nothing very special, every holes is straight forward.
Check Availability Before Going
Had a reserved tee time from Golfnow.com and upon arrival they said they had a tournament going on that day and waited an hour to tee off. He mentioned that they had cutoff online reservations 3 days prior but Golfnow.com had no problem accepting my reservation.
Great Course for the Price
I play golf twice a month and always consider playing Sunset first because of the value you get when playing here. 9 holes played twice allows the ability to play a hole a 2nd time if you didn't do well the first time. Great price, average course, great hazard placement, overall great time.
