Great day out for golf!!!
Course was in great shape!! Had a great day there!!you need to go play . This is worth the drive , have fun!!!
Amazing Course
This course is amazing and will be back for sure to play. The staff was very helpful since it was my first time playing the course. Even though it was really windy the date of playing it was still a fun and new challenge of a course and will be back to play. First class facility and putting green. Highly recommend this golf course.
COVID Safeguards were top notch
We were informed at arrival they were out of carts due to only allowing a single player in each cart.
Started around 15 minutes late so they could properly disinfect each cart before sending to the next player.
Highly impressed with the professionalism of the staff.
Great golf cource!
I have played here a couple of time and really like it!
I like it so much I am joining the club..
Always top notch
Fairways were nice. Only issue was the tee markers weren’t out. Greens were in great shape but a little slow.
Feb 2020
Course in great shape for winter. Staff was great. Good bargain with “Hot Deals”
Great, but sub par. And not in a good way.
No tee box makers on any holes. Just kinda had to guess.
All the greens had three holes and the flag colors seem to just be random instead of red, white, and blue for front, middle, back. Respectively... Some of the extra holes did have some type of plug but it was usually sunken to far to see until you were standing on the hole. But most were just left open. Played multiple rounds somewhere this winter and haven't seen anything like this. These aren't big problems but just not something I would expect from a course that promotes itself as higher end.
Other than that staff was very friendly and great.
Hi tonsoffun2325! Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back!
Thank you for your feedback.
To clarify some of your concerns, many of the things we do during offseason months are not typical, but done for a very specific purpose. We have Bermuda greens, which differs from most surrounding facilities. The 3 holes are for rotation purposes to avoid cutting new holes in a dormant putting surface. The flag rotation is the same as the red/white/blue system you referenced but with different colors. For future visits, our system is white=front/split flag=middle/red=back. In regards to tee markers, we pull all markers during offseason months to reduce foot traffic in traditional spots during the grass’ dormant time. This is also used to encourage players to enjoy our course from teeing areas they may have not tried in the past due to the tee color in place.
In summary, all of your concerns fall into our offseason maintenance practices other than the flag color rotation. Beginning April 1 you will see a return to more traditional on course setup including tee markers and single hole locations on each green.
Should you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Every hole has character!
Standing on the tee box you are challenged to shape the ball both directions to reach a favorable position in the fairway. Course was excellent; bunkers were in better shape than I had seen before.. course played in three hours. Overall, great time!
Greens!
The greens are in phenomenal shape! They are extremely fast and hard. Very challenging right now to one putt.
5 Star
The reviews on golf now are accurate. The conditions, course lay out and the friendly staff are excellent. The only snag was there was not a cart girl. This was everything you would expect at a private club. Our tee time was at 11 am and there was hardly anyone around. Things changed a bit at the turn as the driving was packed around 1pm. None of this affected our play or experience. My son is a junior at Oklahoma and we are excited to have found a go to course when I come up to visit.
Can’t believe it’s open to the public
Fantastic course, yet challenging. Quality grass in fairways, greens and roughs. Hard to believe it is a public Oklahoma course. Great club house and full bar
Nice course very poor pace/ tee time spacing
This is one of the best maintained courses I’ve seen in Oklahoma. However the tee times are overbooked causing crowding on the course. Issues with groups in front of us dropping ball after ball in the same spot and when reported to course Marshall he came out and nothing changed. Plan to have at least 5 hours to play all 18 due to waiting times. Watched a full length movie and in the amount of time between my shots. Finished the movie by hole 15.
Hello, Andrew. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing Winter Creek Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Turtle or rabbit
The course was fine as usual. Plenty of evidence they are continually improving the course! There is plenty of new sod and a few new drainage improvements! It even looks like they are working on some of the fairway contours. The only physical course complaint I have is the sand traps, Wish they were more like beach sand as are most courses.
The always persistent issue at all courses is being behind a turtle and in front of a rabbit! At times pretty frustrating and does not allow you to relax and enjoy your round!
Spectacular layout
Gives you an opportunity to use longer hitting clubs on 2nd shots, sand wedge and practice on short chip shots. Loved the course due to it's quite location, great scenery and opportunity to use more clubs in my bag. Wish I lived closer.
Wonderful Layout but out of shape
This is one of the best layouts in central Oklahoma. Gives choices on what shot to play and will penalize for bad choices and shots.
The greens roll at very inconsistent speeds. With some of the greens feeling very gimmicky / over sloped with hole placements that do not account for the roll and wind.
All of the traps were a nightmare. I call them traps because they really have some sort of dirt mixture in them not sand. We had some rain on Thursday and all of them were like playing out of compressed dirt / concrete.
It is a super fun, challenging layout. But, to have to deal with the traps in that condition and the greens makes it a kind of a less than enjoyable round.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave Winter Creek Golf & Country Club a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Easily the best laid out course anywhere in the city.
Perfect fairways and greens. Course gives you an opportunity to play all irons in your bag. I wish it was closer to the city, but certainly worth the drive
