Willow Springs Golf Course in Haslet, Texas is famous for having two sets of greens for each hole, used to maintain the best possible conditions depending on the season -- one for the winter, and one for the summer. This track plays just over 6,100 yards and offers a full 18 holes to the golfing public. The opening hole is the most difficult -- it's the only 400-yard-plus par 4 on the course. Nothing wrong with a bogey on this first hole, since it plays 446 yards. Willow Springs' back nine features two very birdie-able par 3s, as well as a 436-yard par 5 and a 280-yard par 4 that play back-to-back.

Great feature of tjis golf course is different summer and winter greens..
Willow Springs is a great municipal golf course. Played it a number of times. Today they started slicing the fairways which left a lot mud / dirt chunks in the fairway. If we would have know this we would have waited a couple weeks to play it. Definitely was worth the money. Their staff are great people.
First Golf Outing Of The Year
This course is just a middle of the road course. The grass is sparse in most areas and the greens are rough. For the price on Golf Now this course is fine to smack the ball around, but don't expect a groomed course with lush grassy fairways.
willow springs
fun municipal course in haslet. greens are rock hard and rocket fast. be prepared to have your approach shot land on and roll through the green unless you can impart a huge amount of spin and are excellent with your wedges.
Fossil creek for $3 more
Yeah should have spent the extra $3 and played at Fossil creek. Not that interested in going back.
Great price
The club house is gone, not sure if it burned or was tore down. Operating out of a temp trailer. Staff was great, course is not plush but we had a great time.
This course has excellent greens!
The course has no arrows or directions to the holes. If I had not taken someone with me who had played the course I would have been lost. Excellent service checked in and got right out on the course; even after being late.
Good Place to practice
Fairways are wide open, you have to really miss hit here to lose a ball. Greens are OK, not to the level of some high dollar courses, but they are consistent.
Like the place close to home, and usually not overly busy. Many inexperience players, so play can be slow sometimes.
I would play somewhere else for what they charge.
We were the third group off for the day. The first they sent off was a 5 some. I brought to their attention and they laughed it off. We had two players that day.
I will not play there again.
They also need better yardage markers on the course.
Flat course, suitable for beginners/intermediates
Nothing memorable about this track, but it's better than working. Course maintenance is quite good but the course layout itself lacks any interesting features.
Course is in great shape.
Course was in great shape all around. Greens were emaculate. Friendly staff at grill. Restrooms very nice. Carts clean. I just can't understand why folks don't repair divots. I spent the better part of 15-20 minutes repairing others mess. Folks need to be more considerate of their fellow golfers.
A good relaxing round of golf. Very enjoyable.
I was taking my son, who is a beginner, out on a Sunday afternoon. The couse was open enough to where he could enjoy playing and it was in good enough shape that I enjoyed it too. The course was full but once we got off the first tee the pace of play was excellent. We never had to wait to hit our shots and we were no pressured from behind. Considering the hot dry weather we have had for the past several years the course was in excellent shape.
Always fun...
Course is in good shape. Cart paths are getting more and more pot hole heavy. Wish the pace of play would be faster on the back nine. It always bottlenecks at 11. Still, great value and always fun!
Great for any skill level
A clean, well kept facility that poses challenges on both 9's. The driving range and practice greens are a great commodity as well.
Good play, good value, good time
Overall the course was a good play. I was looking for game improvement as opposed to scoring my best round. Purposely, I used my driver only four times. the fairways were accomodating for mid to long shots. The greens are much slower than most courses fot this time of the year and bit bumpy. The cart girl ( Lauren) made frequent rounds and was strikingly beautiful.
Had a Great Day!
We were lucky enough to get a round in on a beautiful day this July. The condition of the course was fine as they had us on the Winter Greens (Probably due to 3 straight days of rain!) The pace of play was ok and could have been a little faster but there was a few large groups ahead of us.
Not bad for willow springs
You should know what you are going to get for less than $35 on a Sunday. Course is moderately easy and fairly well maintained. Don't expect the level of cowboys or tribute and you will be fine. Close to home for me; play here a few times a month to feel better about my game.
Decent course for the area
The course looks good the greens are unpredictable and the ground is extremely hard. The pace of play on the weekend is slow. 2 players, 6 players, 1 player in front of my group of 4. We were waiting in some cases 10 to 15 minutes on each tee box on the front 9, the back 9 went a little faster. But it is better than working.
course in ok shape, long 5 hr rounds, staff friendly
The course is in better shape than the cow pasture it used to be but still is like an average muni course condition. Weekends are 5 hr + rounds.. Had 10:47 T time sunday morning but had 5 groups on T box in front of us. Marshalls are useless as they don't keep up pace of play. Cart girls are great and very friendly.. Great deal on website for 20$ with burger offset the 5 hr round for an ok course in ok shape.. Would have been livid if paid the 40+$ for normal green fee at that T time..
